I just cried for the first time over a game.

I break-down (or I used to) at the end of the the Fox and the Hound where they re-play Todd and Copper's promise to each other and the old lady is driving Todd to nature...

"Well be friends for ever, Copper."
"Yeah, forever."

Oh crap, don't bring the fox and the hound to the discussion. JUST DONT.

It's... it's just HORRIBLE ;_;

He's like "yeeepeeee we're goin' in da woooodz so cooool I'm happy-dippy-yeepee gettin the windy in my headee through the windoweee yeepee yeepee I'm so cutee" because he doesn't even notice the old woman is nearly crying because HE DOESNT EVEN GET IT BECAUSE HE DOESNT EVEN WONDER WHY THERES A SAD SONG PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. Oh how I wanted to yell at him "she's fucking ABANDONING you so STOP SMILING". Ugh.

Foxes are so fucking stupid. UGH. I swear I'm not watching that movie ever again.

;_;

Persona 3 during the dying man S-Link. I played that game while experiencing severe health issues and could relate all too well. It definitely hit me hard.

A lot of people underestimate Mother 3 cause it's a Nintendo game, but also fail to realize that Itoi is a professional author who does much of his work outside of Nintendo.

Man, I just watched the PW3 ending again on Youtube. Godot is probably the best character of the series, and that's saying something.

"The only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over.”

Yup. The reason Mother 3 is so good is because it delves into elements ignored by most in the videogame industry. Having an outsider come and actually write a scenario (in the style of a play really) makes a world of difference.

wow. I might get banned for this.. but wow.. what a homo.. I just imagine you holding a DS crying and it's a horrible image. Be a man, for fucks sake.

I cried for
Big Boss
at the end of MGS4, I'll admit it. Heck, they weren't even manly tears. They were big, sobby baby tears. Same with MGS3.

More recently, I got really teared up in Valkyria Chronicles when
the Darcsen concentration camp was burned.

I cry at the end of a lot of games though, not just ones with sad endings. If it's a long, epic game and you get really attached to the characters it's just a bittersweet feeling to see them go. This generally doesn't happen with movies for me because Hollywood rarely does enough to get you involved with the characters, but with books and games it's pretty constant.

There's nothing wrong with crying, you heartless bastards. It's the same as laughing or getting really freakin' pissed.

The only time I ever teared up for a game.

SotC- I didn't shed any tears, but when
Argo falls off the bridge I yelled "NOOO! F*CK NO!" and just sat there with my mouth open. Then I continued on pissed off... and as I started to climb towards the final colossus I thought "it's my own damn fault he's dead."
It was an amazing barrage of emotions.
I did almost the exact same thing. I was so distraught and then it turned to anger. I proceeded with a steely determination to eliminate everything in my path after that.

Other games that evoked strong emotions:
Kingdom Hearts (both)
Metal Gear Solid (series)
FFX
Ocarina of Time

Dreamfall:
When the little girl dies in Zoe's arms
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time:
When Farah falls down from the tower
Lost Odyssey: Several of the Thousand Year Dreams

Crisis Core- the malfunctioning memory wheel. No further explanation needed. :D

I forgot about those. They were very well done. I remember trying to explain the degrading memory wheel to my wife.
