150/90, unless he has diabetes in which case it would be 140/90. 120/80 is no longer the case.
The CDC classifies 15+ drinks a week as 'heavy drinking': http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/faqs.htm#heavyDrinking
That's pretty funny now. What's ironic is the job was for Red Bull and I don't even consume energy drinks.
That's some shit right there.
2-3, I don't hit the hard liquor.
For clarification it was only a few notches over at 162, they said they needed it below 160.

But luckily you're just the dermatologist. However, there is insufficient evidence in hypertensive persons younger than 60 years for a systolic goal, or in those younger than 30 years for a diastolic goal, so the panel recommends a BP of less than 140/90 mm Hg for those groups based on expert opinion. The same thresholds and goals are recommended for hypertensive adults with diabetes or nondiabetic chronic kidney disease (CKD) as for the general hypertensive population younger than 60 years
2 to 3 beers a night is pretty high if you're doing this every night. I'm nobody to judge anybody's alcohol consumption because I drink like a fish on Saturdays, but 2 or 3 beers every day is a lot of beer, especially because you probably spike on the weekends (like most)
- 6', 165 lbs... damn what are your secrets?![]()

Recommendation 1
In the general population aged ≥60 years, initiate pharmacologic treatment to lower blood pressure (BP) at systolic blood pressure (SBP) ≥150 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure (DBP) ≥90 mm Hg and treat to a goal SBP <150 mm Hg and goal DBP <90 mm Hg. (Strong Recommendation – Grade A)
Recommendation 3
In the general population <60 years, initiate pharmacologic treatment to lower BP at SBP ≥140 mm Hg and treat to a goal SBP <140 mm Hg. (Expert Opinion – Grade E)
Everyone is just gonna quote your first post and be snarky.
2-3 beers a night
Damn! But luckily you're just the dermatologist.
So what about white coat hypertension? Shouldn't I at least get a second chance?
I showed up on time and early on both of my interviews, shouldn't I at least get a chance for another try to check my BP?
I spent nearly three weeks going through this process.
Go get a test at one of those machines at a local pharmacy or something to double confirm. Like others have said, most people start getting treatment when it rises above 140.
I tried that after I was upset about it at a local Albertsons which actually had a new machine.
It said I was 180/80.
wtf man, that is high as fuck. Forget the job man, go see a doc this could mean your life. I have prehypertension (140/85ish) and I'm fairly in shape and active. But my doc wanted me to lose an additional 10-15 lbs.. You aren't healthy man.I tried that after I was upset about it at a local Albertsons which actually had a new machine.

This is a picture of what my upper torso currently looks like by the way, It's safe for work. I'm not out of shape but I'm not at athlete levels either.

I can't imagine a company is really worried about high blood pressure in a 31 year old.
