And add the Forza series as well. They're pretty to look at but gameplay wise do nothing for me.

Well actually Forza is also fun to drive. At least against solid human opponents.
Forza 2 regrettably is not nearly as pretty to look at as you make it seem.

It might have fairly strong shooting mechanics, but Dead Space is a survival horror game at heart. Ironically, it's closer to RE4 then others in the genre.

Maybe to expound on that further, I love FF Tactics, but hate all of Matsuno's other games.

Not really there have been SRPG's that have surpassed Disgaea in many opinions.

Put me into this wagon. I can't find the appeal toward this game. I found Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana to be head over shoulders superior, and over all outside of the impressive graphics there really wasn't much else. Was it because Mario was in it?

It's the only rational thing to do. They are so incredibly different.

Meh. I usually see them both part of the incredibly broad RPG genre then dice them up into groups from there.

I love RPG's, but I hate Planescape Torment.

No one can hate Planescape: Torment. It's just not possible. If you do, it's possible good things just aren't meant for you.

I can't really think of a good example for this one. Mostly because I don't know if I "hate" anything that's generally gotten good reviews and is widely popular, or I just can't think of anything at the moment.

Also, the distinction of genre by publishing location as its own genre is really, really weird.

I love FPSs, but sorta hate all the sequels to Call of Duty.
CoD1 is one the greatest games I have ever played. But all the sequels sorta sucked. I haven't made it all the way through one.


Also, I suck at CS so I hate it.
