I LOVE the 24 game

Wow... ok, keep in mind I'm a huge 24 fan.

I rented the game instead of buying it based on the reviews, my wallet, and the fact that I heard the game was short. I just finished the first Kim mission (by herself) and I'm loving the game. It's revolutionary, total immersion into a show or movie has never been done like this before. There was a part where I called my friend (he has the game too) and I was like... wow, thats an amazing 24 twist.

All in all, this game is a must must get for any 24 fan... I can't say anyone would like it, as a normal game, its just OK... but so far, Im loving this game!

The game is better than most people are claiming it to be and there are times where i'm impressed with it. The problem is, its trying to do too much and as a result, some aspects feel incomplete or not polished. The game is pretty good overall, i'd give it a 7.5 / 10

Wow, now I don't need to record it! Though there's a good bit missing with the exchanges that do incur ingame. Anywho, as everyone has said, it's really not that bad game of game. Infact, it's literally the best tv to game adaptation done thus far.

This thread needs the line 'I give it a 24 out of 10!'

I was watching my friend play 24 the game last night and it looked incredibly bad. The third person shooting was horrendous and just plain silly. The lip syncing was off. Animations were bad. And if I hear Jack say, "Hostile Down!" one more time I will shoot myself. The story didn't seem all that interesting either. A ricin plot?!? But I only watched the game for a few levels so I can't comment on if it gets any better. Just saying that even as a huge 24 fan I have no desire to play this game.

That's only the beginning of things, you know that the first few hours of 24 doesn't show your the real deal! Anywho, this game finally explains:
who Max is, his significance to the events for Seasons 1/2, introduces Chase, and Kim's first day @ CTU
Can't recall what else, but it was finally nice to know.

It's an okay game. I mean, the driving parts are torturous, and the run and gun gets boring quickly....

But it's a game where you get to be Jack Bauer, and that is enough to get a 7/10 from me.

JK LOL.

But still, give it a shot, the story is enough to fight through the boring crap.

I usually hate the "It's a viral marketer, get him!" crowd, but I think they may be right with this guy.

I bought the 24 game, and I'm actually having a pretty decent time with it (mostly just because the cinematics are awesome), but to call it anything beyond "moderately not horrible" is really stretching. If this game was called "Howard Brockner: CIA Guy" it would be lucky as hell to get a 4 out of 10 from most review sites.

But because of how much I'm in love with Jack Bauer, I can stomach ridiculously poor shooting sequences, combined with horrible driving action, and unexplainable gameplay. What do I mean about unexplainable gameplay? How about the fucking sequence where you're supposed to chase down that Chinese liquor store guy with Tony. First off, the fact that Tony gets knocked around by fucking cardboard boxes is ridiculous in and of itself, but when it took me like 7 tries to realize I had to hit the square button to, I guess, "lunge" for him to catch the guy is retarded.

That mission with Tony where you chase that Korean guy is hilarious. It's as if the 24 developers really wanted to make a Shenmue type QTE event, but forgot to include the QTE portion of the level.

I wouldnt call the rest of the game boring, but the story is definitely its strongest suit.

It sounds like Bayou Billy 2 would be a more suitable name.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Xbox)

I like it too :) Digging the variety, feels like a streamlined, interactive version of the show. Yeah, it could be better, but its great if you're a fan.

Buffy has nothing on...JACK BAUER. BAUER POWER!
Seriously. Don't get me wrong, Buffy's a great use of the license, but I didn't see it emulating camera techniques and gimmicks in its cutscenes. And crappy as some parts of 24 are, and boy, there are a lot of iffy parts, there are also some nifty, cool parts, especially the mini-games, that cover the whole of the license's potential (hacking, network routing, data decryption, etc.) ...not just one aspect of it (beating people up).

That said, Buffy is a much, much better game than 24, to the point where even non-fans can enjoy it. 24, on the other hand, is a game for 24 fans alone, more specifically, those who can tolerate inconsistency and various technical problems for the chance of an interactive Bauer and a dose of canon.
