There should be an East Coast GAF meetup. As frightening as it is to imagine you all as real human beings, it gets tiresome only interacting with "normal" people on a day to day basis.

I have to say, getting convinced to go out to that was a highlight of PAX East this year. Had a fun time chilling with you and nerfgun too.
You rang? Yeah, we be giants son although having met Tashi, Wellington, and EviLore, they made me feel like an ant with how gargantuan they are. And TheBaroness lives in Chicago for the record. Her boyfriend was a cool quiet dude with an amazing portfolio to back up his quiet confidence. To your credit, I was astonished by the fact that you have a surprisingly thick Brooklyn accent for a small Asian dude that speaks Cantonese compared to say Jason.
I think you're talking about me man. No meet up for this month as I mentioned in the NYC thread. I'm focused on school. Once the semester ends, then we can talk meet ups again. I'm thinking about taking up the meet up mantle for this year next month for my birthday celebration with a bunch of GAF members so for the record, a June meet up thread is 100% a go-go and will be up later this month.
What rock have you been living under man? Boston GAF has had meet ups, I've hosted a bunch of NYC GAF meet ups that Jersey GAF comes out to, FLA GAF has had meet ups; there have been meet ups son. Unless you mean all of East Coast GAF getting together in one place in which case that happens during New York Comic Con and/or PAX East among other events.
True story folks: The first words I uttered from my mouth I met this guy were "WTF?! You're not White?!"
Yes I remember that and I was pretty hammered but have since become a more responsible drinker that I only have a few drinks these days. We had the pleasure of introducing GraveRobber to New York's many bars; he was our designated walker.
And this guy was one of the first GAF members I met back when I was a Junior in 2008. It's too bad he's disappeared from our meet ups. }
We met at Nintendo World during the Scribblenauts launch party where I also met Dacvak (he leukemia but survived after a bone marrow transplant), and a GAF member who no longer posts here jrricky, among other. As a matter of fact, the very first GAF member I met was a guy who goes by greglombardi here on GAF at the same event. He was several years older than me and a HUGE Nintendo fan that he was wearing a Punchout Wii shirt but such an awesome dude. I still remember him telling about how beautiful Vermont is and that I should go there some day. I still have his business card in an old thick wallet.

Pau goes to my college and is pretty awesome to speak to in person (girl, you need to get into drawing because it's damn good!), got a couple of GAF members that I've never met in person who live in my neighborhood, there's a billion more NYC GAF members I want to meet including Evil_Solrac (I know your real name

Shout out to Raging Spaniard for being an awesome mentor to every artist on GAF including me, Ledsen who came to NYC to propose to his now fiancee at Central Park, Feep and DM_Uselink for demoing There Came An Echo which I got to try out at PAX East, mintylurb for always buying all a round of drinks whenever he comes out (and the words of encouragement), Jason Schreier of Kotaku fame, number47 for lurking and reading every one of my posts, the rest of the NYC GAF crew, and PXG for complaining about the fact that I write long posts every now and then. Deal with it son. With that, I'll go back to lurking and awaiting replies.

I do have a very thick New York/Brooklyn accent. I was 8 years old when I left China and came to NYC. A lot of people are surprised I have no accent despite being much older. I live in Queens, but very close to the borders of Brooklyn. Like it or not, I am 100% a New Yorker.

I thinksaid it best about the experience of meeting GAF members in person: The people you to get to know behind the GAF names and the avatars are completely different in that they come alive. It gets to the point where you click with these people and you end up becoming friends with them so that it no longer becomes about GAF meet ups but about hanging out with a group of friends that you catch up with every so often (I'm looking at you number47, Mully, TheLastWizard, et al). Being part of Colombia-GAF makes it hard to meet GAFfers by chance. And I'm not sure we have enough people in Medellín to make a meetup happen.
