Looking at your picture, I recommend combing it back or a side part. You could use some attention on your eyebrows as well.

It's not a bad style, but has become too prevalent imo. Seriously, the number of dudes rocking that cut and a long beard, starting to look like downtown trendoids. It just needs to scale back, be less of a craze.

Good job. Please don't ignore the other suggestion. As a man with thick eyebrows myself, I can not stress the importance of you plucking those things immediately and maintaining them that way.

No need to go crazy shaping them right away, just start in the middle and clean them up and go from there

And also, what's a "tryhard"? Personally, I can't stand popular trends and like to go the exact opposite. So keep your current hairstyle, or just go for something completely off the wall. Don't worry about your tryhard or very face.

Do what I did and just let it grow out - the grow out sucks but I love it now. Feels great and I enjoy rocking the man-bun.

You probably wont do that so here's what I would do: Look for people that have a similar shaped face, out of those people try and find someone with a haircut that you like. Find a picture of someone with that haircut and take it to a barber and so that's what you want.

Please don't get a haircut because its popular, that's a great way to get a terrible haircut.

Also, if you can afford it go to a nice salon if you want a good haircut. I used to go to a place that charged 25$ and the haircuts were decent. Then I went to a salon and dropped $60 plus tip and got the best haircut ever. That said, the 25$ were pretty good as long as the stylist wasn't a newbie.
