.

Having watched Chozen earlier I enjoyed the first episode. May have been the art style or the 'rap' theme, but it gave me a The Boondocks vibe.

Having just finished the pilot episode of Rick and Morty, I fear that the belching and 'oh jeeze, rick' will get old fast. I enjoyed the pilot though.

With any luck I've found at least two new shows to watch, thus far.

Breaking Bad
Fringe
Workaholics
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Parks and Recreation
Weeds
Dexter (Probably best stopping after Season 4)

I do like TWD, but I feel as though it's losing it's pull with me. I must admit I haven't really liked it since The Governor left Woodberry. Something just hasn't been clicking. Too many new characters perhaps, and too many of them being annoying or boring. Like those two kid sisters who named the zombies/fed them rats. Annoying. Or the army lesbian and her sister (whom I think are the family which The Govenor stayed with after Woodberry). Boring. I hope it picks-up the pace and excitement again soon.

TWD has actually pulled me back in, but they tend to do this weird thing.... Spend a long time building to something that you think is gonna be batshit insane, and then quickly move past it like it was nothing. Can't believe Terminus was basically a one and done episode, what the hell?

Hard Times of RJ Berger.

Caught this on TV one random time. Ended up watching the entire series. Got a number of good laughs from it, showed it to a mate and he got hooked too. Dont think it did very well as it ended with bit of a cliff hanger for something to lead into season 3, but the 2 series I watched were great.

I'll back up all the recs for Arrow. Superbly fun.

Also try Strike Back. More in the 24 vein, but also extremely entertaining TV.

A general tip: Ignore anyone who appears to be recommending you stuff that they like, and focus on the recommendations that seem like people read what you like and offered you further recommendations.

Edit: I see, a necrobump by the OP. OK, yeah, that's fine, better to bump the thread than start a new duplicate thread in this case.

Jaaaaam
The Eric Andre Show
Wonder Showzen
Black Mirror
Aeon Flux
Space Ghost: Coast to Coast
Xavier: Renegade Angel
Y'all So Stupid
Max Headroom
Adventure Time
The Chris Gethard Show
Paid Programming
QVC

this would be a good introduction to tv

Yeah, you should probably watch Sherlock.

I'm also going to say Bob's Burgers because it's amazing and you should give it a shot. The main character is voiced by the same guy that voiced Archer.

Edit: Oops, just noticed this is an old thread.

If you liked Lie to Me, you'll probably like The Good Wife. Some of the unexpected humour gives a similar vibe. The pacing is also similar sometimes.

I didn't give Arrow a chance until recently, and it is surprisingly much better than I anticipated after enduring Smallville for so many years.

Other shows which I liked a lot: Continuum, Hannibal, Outlander, Da Vinci's Demons, Spartacus, White Collar, and True Detective.

The only comedy show that I currently enjoy, and not even really a traditional show, is Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which is free to stream online.

bravest warriors, regular show, adventure time, (all 3 surprisingly filled with story), Walking dead, firefly, Sherlock, Misfits, i could go on and on

Is Arrow actually good, or just good for a CW show.

^^^ Brooklyn Nine-nine is good
It's a good The CW show. In general it's a good show with some major flaws (acting & such). Is it great? Nah.

Animation-wise you could check out BoJack Horseman, Fringe, X-Files (though an old one, best one availabe as far as weekly Sci-fi cases go), The Good Wife maybe.

Edit: Also missed the date.

Foyle's War (one of many great British dramas on Prime)

This fantastic show is also available in its entirity on Netflix Streaming.

Other shows I recommend:
Rick and Morty - One of the best animated shows in recent memory.

The Assets - been watching this recently. 9 episodes covering the traitor Aldritch Ames. Fantastically well done.

Luther - On netflix. Everyone who likes crime shows should watch it.

super guilty pleasure answer:
Lost Girl - modern supernatural show about a succubus discovering the fae world around her. It's super, super cheesy. Full of great characters and Supernatural levels of character drama though.
