I officially hate Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

Sucks for the high price points in your country, gaming should be universally affordable & enjoyable!

I will be waiting for the DS lite before trying out DoS & other possible future castlevania titles, it's' a good thing it play's GBA titles. For AoS, I was really somewhat getting bored w/ it early on as it was way too easy but the difficulty got bumped up in the end at times. The challenge in castlevania games to me is obtaining a 100% completion rate. I look forward to playing as Julius after Soma. Think I'll start LoTP now & wait for HoD sometime later, but first to really finish up AoS. :)

HoD isn't complete shit, its just way too easy. I beat it in one sitting (6 hours) with complete percentage. Can't remember if thats 100 or 200% for that one. In any case, its still a lot better than any of the 3d ones, if you can even call them Castlevanias.

I put this game down for two months and just came back to it today to realize I had no idea what the hell was going on or where I was. I proceeded to move forward on the map, defeated a "boss" and the game ended with little or no explaination. Knowing what I know about the game from reviews/message boards, I knew this wasn't the true ending. In fact, I had gotten the bad ending.

So here's my problem, really: how on earth, aside from hopping online and checking a FAQ or buying a strategy guide was I supposed to know how to get the "good" ending? Are there clues scattered around the castle that would lead me to know that I had to have certain souls to access other boss battles? I mean, huh?

Otherwise, I had fun collecting souls, exploring the castle, etc. Hate is a pretty strong word. I hate Sprung; that game sucks. So does Bad Boys: Miami Take Down. HoD does not.

Thats Aria of Sorrow you're referring to, and it rocks.

Yep, there are clues scattered around the castle that tell you which 3 souls you need to have equipped...
The clues are in the form of items: Ancient Book 1, 2 and 3...

Just got past the waterfall! :D Right now I am trying to obtain all the souls & open up the door w/ the blk fog curse. Then it's off to Julius or heck, pop in my SoTN & relieve the originator of it all. Damn, I love 2D castlevania games. How come Konami resorted to crappy 3D attempts after SoTN & never tried the side-scroller again? I would kill for an Castlevania PS3 w/ multiple, different castles along with the full digital audio on Blu-ray.

Someone start a damn petition or start emailing your local Congressman!
