This little guy showed up.

She's been at my porch since last night. I feel like I finally have a pet! I will call her Puddles, and she will love me so.

Actually, she's been hanging around my property for a week now. She's extra friendly, it's almost too much! She follows delivery men as they walk up to my door. Is she a kitten?

Definitely not a kitten... Look at it. I mean it might be someone elses cat in your neighborhood though.

is that a cat or just another one of your arms.

That 4th pic could be a good "GTFO" picture.

That's an adorable cat. Definitely get her shots if you plan on keeping her.
He can't just keep a random cat, it most likely belongs to someone.

And it left for a reason.

Put some posters up around the street and give it about a week. If you don't hear anything, thats generally a good amount of time to pass to allow you to take the cat under your arm. I mean you tried to find the owner and had no luck. At that point, your just looking out for the cat.

Similar situation to a friend of mine. She had the cat for a few days with signs up around her building but nobody responded. Took it to a vet as soon as she could to see if it was chipped -- nope.

Her cat now.

congratulations! a cat has adopted you!
Treat it nice, take it to the vet for the mandatory shots and buy cat food on the way back.

Personally, I would look for the owners, but if I didn't find them I'd keep it. A lot of my families pets have been rescues. We looked for the owners of all of them, but never found them.

Check the ears to see if you can see any tattoo numbers. Could be a lost cat plus the no collar with no collar indentation on the neck could be a giveaway as well. Leaves some food out if you want to or take it in if it really wants it.

Look around for fliers in your neighborhood/call the animal shelter/pound and see if anyone has reported a cat matching this description. Even if the cat seemed abandoned, there is a good chance the owners are still out there looking for their cat feeling hopeless. As much as it sucks, it's really not your cat until you make sure no one else misses it.

I don't know about you, but from where I'm around, cats w/o necklaces are considered stray. You're allowed to shoot it if it's on your property.
Please don't =´(

I don't plan on adopting it-- it's actually quite common to see neighbors' cats explore the neighborhood. Never had a cat stick around so long though. This one has no fear at all, it comes straight for you even if you try to scare it away. Which is why I think it's young. All it wants to do is play! Bottom line is that I'm allergic to cats.

not that the cat would care. live with it and make the best of it.

I typically dont like cats, but walk on cats are the best.

My parents had one when we were kids, one time he was laying in the middle of the floor and my brother tripped and fell into him. The cat just got up and walked away.

Perfect "-_-" expression.

Adopt her!

UPDATE:
I went to go take out the garbage, and the cat (of course) followed me to the curb.

I started talking to my neighbors across the street about this crazy cat situation, and they knew who the cat belonged to! My neighbor, a veterinarian, confirmed the cat is fairly young, and is also declawed. The kitty was transported via bike basket 2 blocks down to the owner.

I... I miss it/her/him :(

OP. What state do you live in? Looks like a nice place you got there.
Beautiful Queens, NY my friend :-D

I hate it when they do that. Once I had a cat crying out of my balcony for a week before I finally decided to feed him. It was really weird how he knew I was in the house, seeing how I was imovable and spending 12 hours a day online. In the end we became friends and many times I let him in the house where i proceeded to corner him and kick him hard realising I had animal cruelty insticts in me. It was fun. Once I let 6 street cats in the house for ten minutes. Another I woke up to find a shitload cat vomit in the balcony. I suspect it was cause by the rotten egg cream I had feed him. Man I got mad at him that time. Despite all the cruelty he kept coming back prey to his starvation and the fucked that I was his sole benefactor. I felt so superior back then. I've moved out of there since then, I wonder if he would recognize me now 3 years later.
