I think I drink too much coffee...

I start my morning by stacking five espressos, and then keep drinking more regularly until 3pm.

The joys of having excellent coffee machines at the office.

I top off around 60 to 72 oz. of coffee a day during NaNoWriMo months. Cream and sugar in the first two cups, then black and/or decaf the rest of the way.

That's pretty low. I drink a cup of coffee maybe one every three weeks.

I try to avoid coffee because it tends to make me urinate more often, on top of making me feel awful afterwards.

I usually drink on average 4-5 cups of coffee per day. Sometimes more and sometimes less. 1-2 I would say is average for a coffee drinker.

1-2 cups of coffee really isn't anything to note, but your mileage may vary I guess depending on how sensitive you are to caffeine.

I usually drink between two and four, and have never really had any issues with it. Most things I read actually say that up to four or five is perfectly fine.

I also drink a lot of water and don't put creame or sugar in it.

I drink 4 every day, 2 in the morning while completing reports
1 in the afternoon after eating
1 before leaving

And drink 1 per day at home while playing videogames

No decaf, never had issues to sleep because of coffee

I think 1-2 cups of coffee per day are fine, it's water after all, the issue would be how charged is it with coffee, my 3rd to 5th coffee cup are very light

Isn't tea better for you though?

Not necessarily, if you're talking about drinking both without sugar or milk added. Tea has a lot more caffeine in most cases if I remember correct but otherwise they are more less equal- could be wrong about that though

How do you guys drink your coffee?

I try to drink it black, but occasionally use a sweetener. Average around 4 to 6 cups per day. Could be more on stressful days. I do need my morning coffee and my after dinner chill out coffee.

Black, no sugar, no cream.

That's a normal amount, if not less than normal. I can't imagine many doctors or nutritionists would criticize you for having one to two cups per day. I have one to two cups of coffee per day, but still have one to two diet pops per day, too, a habit I'm trying to lessen.

Like 1-2 cups a day, and usually only on days that I work.

Other than that, I sometimes drink some on days that I clean the house or run errands. Both for the taste and effect it has on me, but I'm kind worried that I like it too much.

It is kind of relaxing to me as well, almost therapeutic. Idk... Is it bad to rely on this drug?

thats nothing

When I worked nights at a factory job I would see some people drinking more than a pot of coffee in an eight hour period. I used to drink somewhere between four and five cups a day myself, before cutting back to around 1 cup plus a Diet Coke in the afternoon. Two cups of coffee is really not that much.

2 cups of coffee is fine unless they're 80% coffee and 20% water etc.
I'm not the biggest fan of coffee but when I tried some freshly ground coffee (which most people in the UK don't have) it was very nice. I could get used to that.

I mean if you're worried at 1-2 cups (which is a very normal to small amount for the avg. American) then maybe you should cut down just for your own peace of mind.

If however you're not going to cut down and are just seeking affirmation, I can assure you that is not a lot of coffee. I drink 2 cups a day and feel as though I drink a small amt of coffee. My s/o drinks like 4 before noon (none afterwards,) my dad drinks probably a whole pot up until like 7pm. My uncle drinks coffee up until 9pm and then goes straight to bed.

One to two cups a day? You're already dead.

I function on about 2 energy drinks and 4 coffees a day... I'd like to get that down to about 4 coffees a day. And I'm probably in the "lower" range of some people I know.

If you think that's a coffee problem then you live in strange coffee free bubble.

Do you get withdrawal headaches when you go without the caffeine?

OP, you're fine. At one point I was up to 4 5-Hour Energy shots a day on top of 3-4 cups of coffee. Everyone is different, mind you, but if I'm still kicking after subjecting my body to that, it's safe to assume that you'll be just fine.

Or maybe I'm some sort of mutant.

I'm on a constant drip feed of caffeine all day until about 6PM. ~3 cups in the morning and then I switch to tea after lunch.

I consider myself a caffeine lightweight. I have friends/family who drink coffee all day and easily down 10+ cups a day.

I always put in a little half and half. I hate sugar in it.

I love it it's become this terrible thing to put a splash of milk in your coffee and it's making us fat. Lmfao

The sugar yes if you're putting 3 teaspoons per coffee, but the milk does not deserve to be demonised like it is.

I remember hating coffee back in the day before I joined the Navy. I used to go through 3/4 a pot a day. Now I'm down to a 20oz Wawa in the am and a 10oz around 5pm (unless there is an outage...all bets are off then)
