Next Gen consoles will have SSDs as standard so the location of the data in storage isn't going to matter as much as it used to so a middleware company should be able to make something & let us use it in multiple games.

Like if a new Pixar movie come out we should be able to get items from that movie from Disney & use it in different games . Or if I go into store & buy a new jacket I should be able to get a virtual jacket that I can wear in different games.

It a good dream.
But the marketing, and the money, speak differently.

Is Wall-E gonna show up in Halo: Infinite?

It sounds cool to think Pixar assets would be used in our videogames but I don't know what is reasonable to expect on that front.

Furthermore, we find ourselves in a society where the work of such large projects determines the success or failure of an entire company in the industry.
And also for this there is always the will to maintain a certain balance of mutual respect in the work of the various teams.

Going forward, he believes there will be much more integration of Sony Corp.'s other entertainment products, including from its video-gaming system PlayStation.

"We have no specific plan yet," he says. "But we have a program within the company called One Sony... You'll be seeing a lot more integration of Sony companies together."

Vinciquerra says Sony is developing three movies and seven TV shows from its PlayStation video-game content.
