I think Reese's peanut butter cups are different now.

I just pulled out some Reese's cups and they appear to be different than normal. They have a slightly shorter radius, but are think. The peanut butter to chocolate ratio appears to have increased and a chunk of the chocolate of the bottom of the cup is no longer sticking to the packaging. All in all it seems to produce a better tasting peanut butter cup. Has anyone else noticed this? It is possible I am going crazy but I feel fairly confident about this. I am in Toronto and I am fairly certain this is a recent change since the cups I ate in October were not like this, so I was just wondering if anyone else could vouch for this.

I have not noticed a difference. They still taste great like always.

I actually have a craving for that peanut butter puff cereal. SO GOOD.

I wonder if the miniature cups were affected too.
Still want to try this one day:

Hmm, I'll have to investigate this. I haven't had a peanut butter cup in a while ever since they replaced the peanut butter with salted paste, or at least that's what it tasted like.

I used to eat the suckers all the time when I was 12 back in like '93 and I'm almost positive that the taste is the same.

Not sure about the chocolate-PB ratios or the overall quality of the product but the taste is definitely the same.

The best Reese's is the Reese's Cremes. Those things are so good. So good.

The real mystery is why the egg/pumpkin/tree shapes are so much fucking better.

It's just a different shape right?

Chill those bitches and grab some milk.

Had one of these this year for Halloween, probably the first one I've had in 10 years. Tasted exactly like they did when I was a child, absolute shit.

From when I was on a Reese's kick early this year (I have since moved on to Kit Kats :p)...

I bought an 8-cup individually wrapped package and the ones in there were the smaller radius ones (and perhaps more chocolately as a result) vs. the ones that come in the 2-pack or the indivudually wrapped 10-pack.

The 8-pack was curiously inexpensive, so it made sense

I loved these things as a kid, but now I find them kind of gross. Whatever is contained within tastes neither of chocolate nor peanut butter.

The chocolate part seems like typical Hershey's Milk Chocolate to me, but yeah the PB part is quite unlike Skippy or Jif in taste and texture.

I always thought the Sam's Choice bags of individually wrapped peanut butter cups were better than Reeses. I don't even know if they make them anymore though. I haven't seen them in a long time

Peanut butter. Sugar. Salt. Chocolate.

Make your own!
