i thought 360s were repaired in texas?

well according to my shipping info on my latest repair it says it's being shipped from reynosa.

all of my other repairs were shipped via ups and it said they were shipped from texas. so is msft having the consoles sent to mcallen and then transported to reynosa for repair?

i have to admit i'm ignorant when it comes to the states/provinces of Mexico. i barely even know Canada's.

i'm surprised they would deal with shipping these things internationally...is it really that much of a cost-saver?

Looking at an article from 2000, it looks like factory workers in Tamaulipas made about $35 a week. Even if that's been bumped since then, it's still ridiculously cheaper than the domestic alternative.

I'd be stunned if McAllen weren't just a staging area for a cheaper-labor repair facility right across the border.
