I tried toast with peanut butter. (And survived!)

You stupid OP! The best tasting peanut butter and bread is obviously with toasted bread since the peanuts were toasted before they added the butter! Stupid!

This is the correct answer.

This is the face I make when I find out they picked up a jar of crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.

I exclusively eat peanut butter on toast. Just bread is too sticky. On hot toast it melts, and it's glorious.

PB on crumpets is the best though.

PB + Jam with Toast is so good. The crunchiness of the toast plus the melted PB and sweet jam is just heaven

Just plain bread makes it mushy.

i actually made a ridiculous "sandwich" the other day when i wanted something sweet and didnt have any icecream or anything else around the house. It went like this:

- 2 x Slices of fresh white bread - crust removed.
- Butter it, put a big chunk of strawberry jam in the centre of one slice
- surround the jam with crunchy peanut butter
- smear the other side of bread with lots of nutella
- push them together with baking paper and roll them out with a rolling pin so it becomes compacted and thing.
- butter outside of bread
- butter a pan and heat it up
- put the bread in, cover it with a lid and cook on low-medium flame on both sides till brown

it was like eating the hybrid of a hot ferrero rocher and a jam donut. It was amazing and i washed it down with an ice cold glass of milk. It was like a chocolate and jam cooked donut with a crispy outside and some saltiness from the peanut butter in the middle.

MOAMYGOAAD I HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS IT SOUNDS MOTHAFUKING AMAZING IF ONLY I COULD ACTUALLY BE FUCKED.

I never really cared for peanut butter & jelly sandwiches but a peanut butter, jelly, and bacon sandwich is just about the best thing ever. Seriously.

The thought of toast with peanut butter on it has always been a repulsive thought to me all my life. I love regular peanut butter sandwiches but toasting it always made me feel queasy.

I tried it for the first time tonight with jelly. It was alright.

GAF - any irrational food things you refuse to eat?

I eat peanut butter toast (crunchy, no jelly to pollute it) for breakfast six days a week. Your stance confuses me.

Toast with peanut butter is strange? What kind of weird-ass planet did I wake up on this morning?

Though on the topic of peanut butter, after having 'natural' peanut butter the regular stuff tastes like salty garbage to me. Impossible to go back.

Who the hell does this?

Depends on the cereal. Some are 'cold milk' cereals and some are 'hot milk' cereals.

toasted english muffin open-face BPJ is the fucking bomb. I used to eat those all the time, but I can't remember the last time I had english muffins in the house.

I'll eat pretty much anything. Typically, the more weird or awkward, the better. Granted, my town plays host to the legendary "brain sandwich," so I guess I was socialized into it.

I will not eat Squash or Squash-related products, though. I just can't stand it.

How do you guys call yourselves Americans!?

Peanut butter burgers are the food of the gods. The peanut butter goes really well with a nice savory burger, and doesn't taste as weird as it sounds at all. It's a really cohesive dish that doesn't sound like it's riding off a gimmick.

But if you like gimmicks, some local eateries/food trucks/the fair have some great peanut butter donut burgers. Depending on how the donut is made it is a hit or miss. It can't be too over cooked because it loses all flavor and the taste of burnt sugar/charcoal will be nauseated enough to make some puke. Buuuut, if you play it safe at a reliable place to eat, it is absolutely amazing, and especially if it includes maple bacon.

But seriously, try a peanut butter burger, everyone I recommend it to falls in love.
