I Want to Start a Fight About Ice Cream

Thank me later

Talenti are the best. But my friend, you haven't had their best flavor. Salted Caramel. I've had many, many talenti flavors hoping they'd surpass it, but I've been let down every time.

I like salted caramel but I prefer several other talenti flavors over it; cinnamon peach biscuit, banana chocolate swirl, caramel cookie crunch, caramel apple pie and vanilla chai.

Now that I think about it; I haven't had many talenti flavors that I don't like more than salted caramel. That's more of a praise of the brand than a knock on salted caramel; I do think it' the best to get as a secondary scoop to mix with something else.

I've had their coffee ice cream, I think it had some chocolate chips or something, but I remember it being very good. Still like just play Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream though.

I try to not each much ice cream (because I'd eat too much) but my current favourites are the tesco brand cherry and vanilla ice cream and their mint and chocolate ice cream.

Mint ice cream is like sparkling water.
Bad example but yeah I don't ever want to go near that stuff again. I'm happy with my Hagen Daaz Pralines flavour.

Y'all are kidding me.

God-tier. It's Apple Pie a la Mode in a jar. Plus you can wash out the containers and use them to hold knick knacks.

But I'm willing to give that Graeters stuff a try if I ever happen upon it.

I've been wanting to try these but fear they won't be as good as the pint. Opinions?

I know I've already chimed in on this, but I think they're actually better than the pint. First, I think they're the right amount of ice cream for a snack. Second, the shell around is quite good, not completely sweet, and adds a nice contrast against the vanilla ice cream. Third, they're individually wrapped, so you never get that issue of the leftover ice cream getting incredibly hard in the freezer, it's always the perfect consistency. Beyond that, it's just the normal Americone Dream with a thin layer of chocolate, so really what could go wrong?

I mean, to be clear, if you want ice cream straight, just get the pint, but as an ice cream related snack, they're fantastic, IMO.

This stuff:

Is probably the best ice cream I've had.
It's at least up there. So good.
Edit: Idk what the best flavor is, but the quality is heavenly.

Graeters is pretty damn nice. I had their black raspberry and it was awesome. I usually dislike any sort of fruit related ice cream too.

For people posting halo top, have you tried Enlightened? Very similar macros but much creamier and less "airy". Their birthday cake, mint chocolate chip and chocolate peanut butter are amazing. Blows halo top out of the water.

Low in calories.
High in brotein.
Not the best tasting, but the best macros.

I recently had the red velvet and thought it was great.
Like that it can get a bit frozen so it doesnt start melting immediately after scooping it out.

Picked up this Ben and Jerry's yesterday. It's great except for the core. It's a little weird. Not too terrible but kind of meh compared to the rest with peanut butter cups.

Talenti is really good, but put me down as another voice saying that Turkey Hill's mint chocolate chip (the green kind with the small Baskin-Robbins-style chocolate slivers in particular) is even better:

Didn't they recently change their formulas to basically stop using just simple ingredients? I thought I remember that in the last few years. They can't put ice cream on the box anymore I think.

Some of their products are ice cream, some are frozen dairy desserts because they don't contain enough milk fat to qualify as ice cream in the US. It's not all their products.

Is blue bell onlyin texas?
Everyone knows that's the best ice cream.

Tilamook is catching up tho.

Blue Bell, the brand that knew it's product/facilities were contaminated with listeria for years before an outbreak killed 3 people? Sounds like a brand that would be popular in Texas. Wouldn't want consumer safety getting in the way of a corporations freedom.
