I want to try something new for a Date.

This actually sounds like a lot of fun! I feel like doing it with my girlfriend would be the way to go instead of someone I'd just met (that could just be awkward!)!

Oh definitely thats why I'm sure this type of blind date is very rare, but I'm sure it could still be fun and different for an established couple like you and your gf. Try it out! If she lives with you then you'll have to skip the first and last steps which is part of the fun, but it would still be a good date

Any dinner or lunch cruises near you? Here there's a luxury yacht that one can book a fancy dinner or cruise on. It has never failed to impress a date.

Edit: ah I jumped the gun on that budget.... my idea is definitely a $300+ affair. Carnivals are my goto $100-ish date nights. The vibrancy and people, stupid little rides and games, cheap but tasty carnival food, a lot to conversate about.

Bowling or something competitive but not sporty as previously suggested would be good, just make sure to beat her by a significant margin so you're wearing the trousers of the relationship.

Teach her pottery and die

hot date

I have a better idea actually. I have nothing to do, maybe tell her you have a fun night planned with a random internet friend and then come hang out with me.

Another vote for an Escape Room. They're really great fun, just find one that has good reviews beforehand. I've been to some really good ones, but also some really shitty ones that weren't enjoyable due to the lack of effort put into them.

Go to a park and make fun of people together.

Work on you resumes together.

Prank call each other's boss.

Catch bugs together.

Eat each other's poop.

  • Snakes and Lattes is always a nice and easy going thing to do
  • Walk and eating small things at Kensington Market
  • JFL42 is on, maybe hit up a comedy show again?
  • Steamwhistle tour

Build a blanket fort
Spend the whole night together wrapped up in a sleeping bag under the stars talking
Concoct a treasure hunt and explore the city with a made up treasure map

The bolded: this was my first date with my husband, almost 20 years ago. We drove out of town to a spot with low light pollution, bringing dinner and a boombox with us. We were up late into the night, meandering from topic to topic, looking up at the Milky Way.

I cannot recommend it highly enough.
