I think I'm at the end of the campaign and there's no way I'm gonna get all the weapon and plasmids upgrades, so I looked around to see if there was a new game plus and there isn't.
You should be able to get everything in one playthru honestly if it doesn't encourage new game plus and harder difficulties to encourage mastery of abilities and mechanics.
I first played bioshock 2 with the trilogy. Was too soon after my playthru with the first. Didn't like playing as the bulky dude and the gimmick of shooting screws started to annoy me a lot. Give me some non trash and fun guns to use.
I actually enjoy 3 a lot more despite being filled with perverted Marxist and racist garbage... but it has style

But it's a build-based RPG, even if it's a really dumbed down one. The whole point is that you pick and choose what your character uses. A NG+ where you're superman just to appeal to people's checkbox OCD would ruin it. It's hardly the first game to do this.
The problem with Bioshock 2 is that when you reach the end of the game, you are so OP, I'm not sure how fun a new game plus would be.
They throw every enemy at you in the final minutes and I didn't get a scratch.
