I was just robbed and abused

I am just too depressed to talk, but I need to tell someone and GAF has always been a good place for me.

The guy took my phone, almost tore my clothes, and told me he was gonna make me pay for abusing children just because I am gay.

I'm in shock, so sorry if I don't share much more

I'm new here in town. I had smoked weed with him once. Since I was drunk that day, I told him I was gay and that I thought he was cute. He got upset and I apologized, but I never thought he would do this

I'm living with a relative, but the relationship is not that good, so I'm gonna tell anyone what happened. I'm just too afraid.

I'm afraid to go out. As if I wasn't already. I feel like such an idiot

Already called 911 and informed what happened.
 
I am disgusted and so sorry this happened to you.

Once the shock wears off, you absolutely must report this as it's a hate crime. Especially if he threatened you with further action.

thats terrible, but my first piece of advice is to report your phone stolen to your phone company and have them suspend the line and data. With what was said to you, do not take a chance that he may access or put incriminating content onto your phone.

I know this is tough, but you need to call the police, do it as soon as you can. Otherwise they're going to be suspicious about why you waited so long to call them.

As someone who has been robbed at gunpoint before, and had your exact mindset. Call them, you know the guy who did it. The longer you wait, the harder it's going to be for you.
 
Sorry man. You know who it is which means it can be dealt with. Report it to police for assault and robbery. A targeted hate crime.

It's hard but you gotta report it. Don't be the victim, you just got wronged let the law handle that asshole.

Fucking cunts man seriously it sucks because of the added feeling of humiliation calling the cops adds, but you have to.
 
I'm so sorry to hear this, make a police report right away. I just got my wrist crushed in a garage door myself, more here will have good advice for you.

What do you mean there's no point? Do you live in some backwater southern town? The police are obligated to do their job regardless. And you should report precisely because he threatened you further.

You need to report this no matter what.
 
I'm so sorry you had to go through that.

I have to agree with other posters. Get the police involved ASAP. I'm a proud person too and understand stuff like this is painful to talk about. Trust me though, you'll feel worse if you let him get away with this.
 
I have been robbed before. I tried to fight back. It is all very surreal for a few days afterwards. Stay focused, don't let negativity get you to stop. I was focused on doing everything I could to assist the authorities.

Do not take it lying down. Report his ass. Testify. That kind of scum does not deserve the right to walk around feeling safe.
 
This just re-enforces my decision not to tell anyone unless I am absolutely sure they can be trusted. Sucks that happened to you.

Doesn't excuse what happened, but you shouldn't do this.
 
Sorry to hear that but i would report it to the police, as it could happened to another person in the future the police need to know that he is violent person. Also why let an asshole like that get to keep your phone? the police hopefully can get it back.
 
Dude that's completely horrible, and I'm sorry you went through that. If you know who this person is, you owe it to yourself and the next person to make sure the police do something about this.

This guy won't ever bother you again?

(And partially because he's a dangerous and dumb piece of shit that thinks gay = child abuse.)

I mean, is it really shocking for someone who belongs to a persecuted minority to not trust the cops?

OP, I know you feel helpless now, and you don't feel like the authorities have your back, but you should report it nonetheless because getting it on record will help not only you but other people in your community.
 
I'm so sorry OP :(. I've been dreading bad things happening to good people. It's even worse when you hear it first hand from a victim.

I really hope they find this hateful bastard!

Where do you live? I'm hoping it's a semi-progressive area where the cops will put their full attention on this. Either way you should definitely tell the authorities. You are not alone.
