And he asked for my Semen sample, so I went to the bathroom and started doing my business, after the container was filled with the sample, I accidentally dropped it in the sink , it fell upside down and most of the sample came out, only the residue remained but since I wasn't able to do it again I took the container to the person doing the tests and told her about it, she said it was okay but didn't take a look at it. So tell me GAF is the sample enough??

If it's not enough, they'll just call you in to take another. If it is enough, then you don't have to do anything. Either way it's no biggie.

What are the doctors looking for in the sample?

If it was for insemination, it's probably not enough, but if they're just trying to do a count relative to volume and assess sperm shape/motility, they probably don't need a full sample.

You have to get the sample to the lab super fast though. I have a lab 5 minutes from my house, luckily. I think you have 15 minutes from ejaculation to hand in your sample or else it's no good. It's been about 4 years since my vasectomy, do don't quote me on that time. I just know it was like, jack off and get in the car and fucking get to the lab.

They told me it doesn't matter if the sperm are dead or not because any sperm = non zero count and they have to test again until there are no sperm whatsoever (alive or not) or redo the procedure. I wonder if the VHS tape I had to what copy written 1974 was just here or every state lol. Don't mean to derail, sorry.

You want them to check for mobility as we as count. Some places only check count. Make sure they check mobility dude, it's really important!

Edit: I specifically remember having to go to a certian lab because it was the only one in my area that checked both count and mobility. I work at a hospital and mine only checks count!

They would only take a small drop of it into a microscope so it probably will be enough. It's more to do with the quality of the sample as in residue, the violence of the fall (shake) and things like that.
