Damn, apparently I love the worst Wes Anderson films then. The Life Aquatic and The Darjeeling Limited are my favorite movies from him with Fantastic Mr. Fox sitting at 3rd place and I've seen all of them except for Rushmore. I thought everything else he did was just alright (Royal Tenenbaums, Bottle Rocket, Moonrise Kingdom).

There's no way Moonrise is a better film than Tenenbaums in any fashion.

While I place Tenenbaums above Moonrise Kingdom in my rankings, I'm willing to concede it to differences in experience.

I discussed MK in depth my father when it came out. We had a long phone call about how MK brought him back to his youth, about the stupid adventures he went on and the idiocies of those scout-esque groups. Having never done any boy scouting myself, and growing up in the 90s I lack the context of having that boyish military camp experience. My explorations in the woods consisted of a couple of my friends making a treefort after playing street baseball...

Dude's brilliant. 100% brilliant. Has one of the best minds in the business, plays his parts so well - I don't think he can do any wrong.

Looking forward to him writing more.

Also if you've never seen him in The Minus Man, I highly recommend it. Dark as hell. Hellacious movie.
