Pyschological victory for India, I went to sleep at the 40th over match in the 2nd innings ..

India played piss poorly, England played well, result TIE. Tendulkar, Strauss, Bresnan, Zaheer, take a bow.

Cricket at it's best, what a contest. Miss fielding from both the sides, loose wickets gone from both the sides, in the end, glad this is a tie.

There were two turnovers in the game, which made it look like either of the team was going to win, India and England both should be happy that they got a tie in the end.

I bet the crowd got their money's worth, two centuries at the end of the day, on their feet till the last ball, just brilliant.

Overall, what a contest, just a spectacular game.

Well either team will think they would've won. England dominated a majority of the game and India dominated after Zaheer's over. Both teams have a lot to work on, India especially need to work on all three Batting, Bowling & Fielding.

That is something that I've never quite undestood, why wickets aren't taken into account in such a situation. It always struck me as rather odd. There's probably a good reason for it.

because it is all about run. Match should be win on the basis of run alone anything else will ruin the fun.

I was spot on ..

"The way they started I definitely am happy with a tie," says Dhoni. "When they were 2 down the way they were going the bowlers were finding it very tough. Zak changed it around for us he is a different bowler if you try and come at him it's very difficult. It could count as a win in the points table at the end."

Yes and no, really," answers Strauss to whether he is happy with the result. "We were in a great position and then had a shocking Powerplay. After that we were lucky and grateful for Swann and Shahzad to getting us to the tie. We're happy and devastated at the same time but privileged to play in a game like this."

England's coach Andy flower is not a happy person. England played awesome. I reckon Anderson conceeding around 90 runs should let another a person in the team.

It's funny because Anderson started off so well. Who are your back-up pacemen in the squad?

That he did, before getting the worst bowling figures by an Englishman in the worldcup. So at this juncture anybody is going to do mildly better than what he did. We don't really have a backup if I'm honest. You've got Bopara, and Broad, who was out with a stomach bug and the lad that played today Shahzad.
And Luke Wright I guess.

Broad's gonna come back, so I say leave shahzad in. I mean he wasn't good either today, but he wasn't as bad the person that is supposed to lead the bowling attack.
Bopara could come in again I guess. Maybe even give Collingwood a rest for the Ireland game. He hasn't been firing on all cyclinders either.

I think were it not for the batting richness of the pitch, and india's par bowling attack, we could have been in trouble...

grr fell asleep when Pieterson got out, wake up to see a tie and a beautiful result in the Carling Cup final! Need to watch the highlights, can't believe England tied the game and really does show that it's all up to Indian batsmen, making 500 runs where even then the bowlers would struggle. India can't win with such a weak bowling attack, at present South Africa are looking to be fav.

Haha, oh man. I still have trouble believing that Luke Wright is in the English squad.

A batting average of 21.86 and a bowling average of 55.20 (in ODIs). What an all-round talent!

Oi oi don't rip on the Sussex players! He hasn't played that well for England for ages though, I wonder how long they'll keep him around :(

I think selectors are just desperate for the next Flintoff or even Collingwood that they'll persist with him far longer than they should. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if he is sent back to County cricket for a while following this WC; he just hasn't done enough to justify a place in the squad.

He'll probably come out and hit a century now that I've said that.

You got to do the best you can with the hand that is dealt to you.

Is anyone else watching this?! This is one of the finest innings I have EVER seen in any form of the game. Can Ireland POSSIBLY win this one?!

Oh man, not a fan of either but I want the Irish to win so it will boos their confidence. They played decent their first two games too.

What an innings by K O'Brien. Congrats on the fastest World Cup 100.
