Well either team will think they would've won. England dominated a majority of the game and India dominated after Zaheer's over. Both teams have a lot to work on, India especially need to work on all three Batting, Bowling & Fielding.sweetvar26 said:Cricket at it's best, what a contest. Miss fielding from both the sides, loose wickets gone from both the sides, in the end, glad this is a tie.
There were two turnovers in the game, which made it look like either of the team was going to win, India and England both should be happy that they got a tie in the end.

India played piss poorly, England played well, result TIE. Tendulkar, Strauss, Bresnan, Zaheer, take a bow.

"The way they started I definitely am happy with a tie," says Dhoni. "When they were 2 down the way they were going the bowlers were finding it very tough. Zak changed it around for us he is a different bowler if you try and come at him it's very difficult. It could count as a win in the points table at the end."
Yes and no, really," answers Strauss to whether he is happy with the result. "We were in a great position and then had a shocking Powerplay. After that we were lucky and grateful for Swann and Shahzad to getting us to the tie. We're happy and devastated at the same time but privileged to play in a game like this."

justin.au said:It's funny because Anderson started off so well. Who are your back-up pacemen in the squad?
you're an idiot...yeah, they took 338 runs by playing piss poor.irfan said:India played piss poorly

Haha, oh man. I still have trouble believing that Luke Wright is in the English squad.Ashes1396 said:That he did, before getting the worst bowling figures by an Englishman in the worldcup. So at this juncture anybody is going to do mildly better than what he did. We don't really have a backup if I'm honest. You've got Bopara, and Broad, who was out with a stomach bug and the lad that played today Shahzad.
And Luke Wright I guess.

A batting average of 21.86 and a bowling average of 55.20 (in ODIs). What an all-round talent!
I think selectors are just desperate for the next Flintoff or even Collingwood that they'll persist with him far longer than they should. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if he is sent back to County cricket for a while following this WC; he just hasn't done enough to justify a place in the squad.scotcheggz said:Oi oi don't rip on the Sussex players! He hasn't played that well for England for ages though, I wonder how long they'll keep him around![]()
