Iconic Video Game Pictures

How many of these are actually iconic pictures instead of just examples/screenshots of something memorable in a game?

It's pretty hard to find a scene that's iconic in video games, the most iconic things are usually just the logo and the mascot, items or objects everyone knows about

I was going to moan about how generic some of these images are but no one likes a new year troll so I'll just post my own if I have the ability..

So many bad choices in this thread. But then again, some people don't know what iconic really means.
Excellent choice.

Where is your Iconic Video Game Picture?
Eh, most of them has already been mention in this thread but there aren't many. Most noticeably the RE-picture I quoted, the SMB 1-1 picture and the picture of Cloud standing infront of Shinra HQ. Those are iconic.

I can hear that awesome tune getting played in my head, clear as day. Used to have it as a ringtone. It sits proudly alongside a lot of logo boot screens that I fondly recall: Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Dreamcast, Capcom 90s intro, QSound logo, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Konami's Metal Gear Solid startup with Policenauts ending theme complete with /swoon.

Realistically too many to list, from GBA to PSP to GameCube and back. We usually take it all for granted until those things are no longer heard and the absence isn't felt until we hear it once more 5-10 years down the road.

Although a mere title screen, I think this one is quite iconic and strong emotions are emitted from several thousand people easily. I know I still get fuzzy thoughts and feelings whenever I see it.

Can you spoiler tag images btw? I've got an FFX image lined up.

Description:
Tidus and Yuna kissing in the lake

edit: That image came out bigger than I expected. What's the best way of quickly resizing images you don't own?

At that moment I just knew I was in for something awesome

*CLAPPING* Couldn't say it better -_-

Another World

Enough from me >_<

Well fuck me. This just reminded me of playing through this game on my cousin's megadrive years ago, since I specifically remember getting stuck at what I'm pretty certain was this exact spot. I'm pretty sure I spent about a day trying to find different routes and yet I kept coming back to this stupid cylinder thing, so I gave up and never went back. What the fuck was the deal with this?
