It's classic as hell and new players would think it looks way cooler than yet another generic cover.

Seriously, like I cannot fathom what idiot PR person doesn't under that Option B should be the official cover art. How can anyone even distinguish your game from the rest of the horde with your generic dude with a gun box art?

I don't know..i think kids and young adults are expecting a lot more crazy and fun shit than the cover they picked..or the testers they chose. Bethesda needs to uncorporate themselves a little bit.

Clearly an unpopular opinion, and given the nature of the game as a throwback it makes sense, but personally I'd prefer something that isn't so similar to the original Doom cover.

Option A and the actual cover don't really fit my tastes either, so I guess I'm just hard to please.

Bethesda are idiots for going with the current cover design. I'm not a fan of shooters, but, hell, covers like these make me want to get the game nevertheless. That image oozes excitement, while the original cover just makes the new Doom seem like some no name random shooter.

Man, these are great. But without the standard Xbox/ps4 bar at the top and the ratings info, I just won't use it. my OCD would drive me crazy with this spine sticking out like a sore thumb. I wish they'd put all the same stuff on reverse covers that they have to on normal ones.

for me, it's less that its a knockoff of the original cover, and more that its actual a unique piece of art thats exciting to look at and actually represents what the game is
thats SUCH a rare thing for games, now. and it's a fucking bummer


95% of the time, whatever promo renders they put out for the reveal of the game or main character just gets slapped onto the box and they call it a day

I had no issues playing them on my Pentium 120 in 1995, as well as on the original PlayStation. Enjoyed both experiences.
