If you can make any game you want. What would it be?

You have an unlimited budget, no licencing or time restrictions.

What kind of game would you make?

Title it and give bullet points highlighting main ideas behind the game.

I'd make a big budget Marvel Avengers game:

- Have five playable characters.
- Each have their own campaigns that runs parallel to the central plot.
- Central plot scenarios would involve ALL five characters which would progress the main story. Each character would have their own perspectives during the central plot.
- All characters have a unique set of gameplay and combat mechanics. (Iron man - air combat, Captain American - ground combat plus combos)
- Revolve around Earth 616 but doesn't affect the [comic] story line. (Like Batman: Arkham games)

Yes? No? Better ideas?

EDIT: if you want to list what system, exclusive or not, it would be on knock yourself out.

A 2D beat em up covering every major action movie of the last 30 years, with like 100 stages. Die Hard. Commando. Rambo. Lethal Weapon.

Would be awesome.

I'd make a deal with Sega to make the ultimate next-gen Sonic game. Something that would blow people's mind and put Sonic and Sega on the map again. Then I'd make Borderlands 3.

A realistic and dark 3D MK game with ultra real character models with everything including backgrounds covered in digitalized/photo textures. Basically you couldn't say if it's real or a game without hub.

Someone suggested this in the Metal Gear Rising thread, and I want to put it here because it was a damn good idea.

A Platinum Games made Mega Man X game where X plays like Sam from Vanquish and Zero plays like Raiden from MGR:Revengeance

Demon's Souls International Edition

To name a few things:
- Servers like Demon's Souls (except all players, all regions on same server)
- 1080p@60fps
- Rebalanced upgrade paths
- Rebalanced unique items
- Improved new game plus options
(weapon, item, ore stores in the Nexus as well as the ability to respec)

Psychonauts 2
-Raz and Lily are Psychonauts and they go on sweet adventures with Sasha and Milla

Castlevania Battle of 1999
-Julius Belmont, fighting Dracula and shit

Final Fantasy Tactics 2

Bring back the entire original team. Doesn't have to be a direct sequel plot-wise. In fact, a prequel might make more sense, taking place during St. Ajora's lifetime.

Online co-op and battle. Full scenario/map editor robust enough to create entirely new campaigns that can be exchange online.

I'd make something like Shenmue + God Hand

Without the QTEs

I'd also make Sleeping Dogs with dialogue/moral choices and branching storylines, choose to favor triads or cops in a more meaningful way and get different outcomes.

Or just make a lot of games with martial arts in it.

Not sure how much of an audience there would be, but I would like a Sports/RPG/Life Sim type game. Way more in depth than Road to the Show (MLB) or Super Star (Madden). You start out as a kid, playing little league or whatever in your sport of choice. But you also have a house and family and friends, a neighborhood to run around in, there's some over arching story, you have to make decisions, all that. Go to high school, play for the high school team, choose to study or hang out with your friends, gotta keep your GPA up. Depending on how good you do in the sports side, you start getting recruited by certain colleges then eventually enter the draft and the pros. And the whole time, there's the usual in depth baseball/football/basketball/whatever sport you want gameplay, but there's also tons of stuff to do between games. Stuff to spend money on so you contracts actually matter.

Of course it's ridiculous. It'd be like combining NBA 2k, Madden, NCAA Football, MLB The Show, Fifa, etc. into one game, would require the license for all the pro leagues and NCAA, plus there'd have to be a good Simulation/RPG with tons of content to do outside of games.

A post-initial zombie apocalypse real-time strategy. Base building, resource collection, slow zombies. Basically World War Z in rts form.

Alternatively, a city and regional simulation with all transit options, multitude of zoning law types, all types of buildings such as government, shops, offices, industry, non-profits, housing. Diverse natural resources. Key to this would be highly advanced and diverse people simulations going on as well. Basically, a simulation that would be of use to sociologists and urban planners.

An anthropologist game in a psuedo-fantasy setting....something where you go around a large confined area taking pictures of odd animal like, finding passages and puzzles and using tools hat gradually expand what you can o to further search the map.....

ie. need a picture of a giant toad creature that is hiding at the entrance to a cave, it is too dark to get a picture and all you can see is its eyes, you find a small mouse creature in another area and set it down outside the entrance, this lures the huge frog thing in the daylight so you can snap a good pic...later you find a lantern so you can explore the cve itself.... so something along the line of Pokemon Snap and Peter Molyneux's room experiment, with creatures in the design of Folklore

I just want a game I can explore by myself where the hints arent spelled out for e, that encourages exploration and experimentation, and rewards you with an expanding map and beautiful vistas and creatures

EDIT: Ive been eyeing the game "gone Home" something like that but in a more fantasy setting http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=IVE-__EWB0M

An extremely deep RPG with a massive world that reacts to your character and reputation in real time.

I can't get that much more deep into it without starting to create the game itself lol.

I think it would be a mash of the scope of the Elder Scrolls worlds or bigger, Chrono Trigger, and the Witcher.

I always said it on similar thread like this.

Open world Wuxia game in ancient China. May be with Arkham Asylum combat mechanics (or hell, roof hopping mechanics).

Shenmue 3

-Return the training areas from Shenmue 1.

-Finish off the story

-Refined controls.

-With no limit on budget, the graphics would make love to our eyeballs.

-Option for subtitles or English dubbing with old actors returning to play their roles.

-Change from small sectioned open world design to completely open world design.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

GTA Earth
-Better hand to hand combat
-Less clunky controls.

Rage 2

PSI-Ops 2

Manhunt 3
-better AI

Everything else can stay as it was.
