• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

If you only buy 1 game this year, what will it be?

if i could only choose one, probably Cyberpunk 2077, its already pre-ordered.

but the games i am looking forward to the most are Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us Part II

Inga meets the Imp!

No wait, I mean I actually have a few in mind however the OP was a bastard at only allowing one (high-five!).
Oddworld: Soulstorm
Yes, I'm a simple man but I am looking forward to nothing more than Oddworld: Soulstorm.

Cyberpunk considering that the scope of it is quite large and if you explore every nook and cranny with the verticality of it it'll easily take awhile.

I suppose Final Fantasy 7 is the one.
Tho, Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 3, Half Life Alyx and Trials of Mana are all day one too for me.

I've never seen a year with so many games I want on release day. That's quite the way to start the decade.

As much as I'd like to say the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, I'm gonna have to instead toss my vote to the Yakuza HD Remaster collection coming out next month if only for the fact that I'll be able to finally play all 7 games on one system and get the whole story. I'm so excited for that to finally come out!

There's lots of great games coming out this year. The highly anticipated neo-future-FPS-RPG Cyberpunk 2077 from CDPR is looking amazing. The collaboration between legendary Miyazaki and George RR Martin in the open world (first for Miyazaki) Elden Ring is hype. The next installment to the glorious, brutal, and metal Doom franchise will be a hell of a damn good time.

That's to only name a few!

But since I'm pathetic I'll vote for the Remake of a game originally released in 1997, Final Fantasy 7 Remake. (It's probably just a Remake of 25% of the original 1997 game. KEKW)

Cyberpunk 2077 EASY

The real question is do I wait for the PS4 release or the inevitable next gen port? 🤔
Let me explain you how the next gen port works. You take your PS4 CyberPunk 2077 disc and insert it into a drive of PS5 console. Voila! Now you can rest easy.

cyberpunk 2077.
If starfield comes out this year and still have extensive mod support like past bethesda single player RPG then I'll go for starfield.

It's between Elden Ring if it comes out in rumored June 2020 or CyberPunk. FF7 Remake was sure in purchase but it's not complete so I'll buy that when it is actually fully released.

It's hard to choose because each game gonna give me different enjoyment but if have to choose it's between Elden Ring, Xenoblade DE and Resident Evil 3.

Halo Infinite, with an honorable mention to Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantasy Star Online 2. Those three games right there will be massive time sinks and will probably account for 70% of my game time next year.

If Bloodbourne 2 comes out as a surprise PS5 release then I would definitely play that over Cyberpunk.

Failing that Elden Ring would be a close runners up.

From the view at the very top of the calendar? Elden Ring. I can probably get suckered into Overwatch 2 or a tast looking multiplayer game.

Cyberpunk, easily, I just hope it lives up to the hype it seems to have generated. If it's even as good as the last Deus Ex game, I'd be happy.

The question is your hype based on other people hyping or are you hyping because you liked what you yourself saw from the game so far? Most of the time hype base on other people always leads to disappointment.

I'm leaning Cyberpunk2077, but if Nintendo drops a surprise Oddysey 2, Monolith smashes me over the head with a game or the BOTW makes a 2020 release, I'll dump Cyberpunk right into the cybertrash.
