IGN Strikes Again: What Nintendo Can Learn From Catherine.

SkyMasterson said:
That was a well written response and I respect your opinion and I'll even say I agree that the adult themes, with relationships are nice and pretty refreshing for a video game.

With that said, this game is probably geared more for anime/hentai people, not really my thing , especially when you have block puzzles as the main gameplay element.

Now maybe my opinion will change if/when I play the full game, maybe I'll get the game when it his $15 or so.

Actually my friend wants to get this game really bad, so maybe I'll just watch him play it.
The sexuality of the game is overblown by people going off covers. It's quite tame actually.

Catherine handles the themes of infidelity, commitment, indecisiveness and adulthood quite well, at least I thought it did. Sure there's a JRPG style spin toward it all and last section of the game is kind weird but it's a slick game. Probably the most original title I've played this gen and probably the most mature.

Ooooh shit!

I think lots of developers can learn from each other. Nothing wrong with praising Cathrine, but IGN constantly undermining Nintendo in the process is to the point where it's petty.

i hate it when reviewers or journalists tell people how to do their job.

more often than not they have no idea how to run a business.

if they really want - they should go take three degrees (game design/software eng, journalism, MBA) and work in the three different fields before they are qualified to give an opinion. right now its just random fan boyism and its embarassing that its probably going to get about 1million clicks for what is essentially a random article.

Thank you Jocchan. Many laughs in the past few minutes, refreshing that page. Then there was this:
What every other game could learn from GoldenEye.

Glorious.
As long as we assume it meant GoldenEye64.

Well, this was certainly a fun thread to read. Much more entertaining and educational than the IGN article surely.

"Should Rapelay be an open world game?"

Terrible and hilarious. :lol

Well... those type of games do exist only without the rape... supposedly.

Don't ask me how I know of this.
