Ignore List-Age: Who's On Your Ignore List?

I have a bunch of people, but it's because their avatars are hosted from websites that are blocked at my work. It hangs up my browser (IE6).
 
I tried to use it once, but it just stinks up the view.

Demi is the only one who made it there, but only cause he was ruining nick frost for me, by having his face as an avatar and just generally being a total ringhole.

If you could BAN users from the forum as in erase trace of them even posting, quotes and all, I'd be into that.
 
The only person who I couldn't stand reading posts from was the black gelding (how long has it been since he was on anyways?)
 
Nobody.
I gave up on them because I ended up reading all the posts anyways.
I kinda felt that I should just judge the content of the post entirely separately from the user that posted it.

EDIT: YES! I made it on the TDG's list. I feel I've accomplished something.

I don't get all the hate kittonwy gets. It's not like he's meowing to you in person. I actually have to deal with that every single day. EVERY DAY I am subjected to human "meowing" by two undergrads.

The kid that sublets from me, "J", is the kind of kid I encourage all the males on this board not to be like aka social retards. He has no backbone and is easily influenced by others and he can't make his own decisions. So now enter his girlfriend "K". She's a control freak and a real odd ball who likes to act like a cat. Yes, in broad daylight and not behind closed doors. So she will meow randomly like a cat in different tones depending on what she wants. Now because J does whatever she says, he starts meowing too!

One time at the dinner table, her fat little ass was full and happy so she gave this long as meow. I looked up at her and told her to stop doing that crap around me. So she looks at J for some support so he starts meowing too. I said, if you meow one more time I'm gonna bark. So they meow and I bark and it goes back and fort until I tell them both to shut the fuck up because they sound like furries in heat. Which they get offended by when people (on the street, in class, college lab, anywhere) think they are furries after hearing them meow to each other. She would even let him take the blame of her random cat calls during class which he totally accepts because he has no spine. This has made many people aside from me uncomfortable. So they don't do it as often around me anymore but it's still pretty annoying. So annoying I have friends who just won't come over if they know the girl is over.

These damn kids are 21 and they have been doing this for over a year now. Kittonwy doesn't compare.

You know, you can download a portable version of Firefox so you don't have to use IE6.
 
I have never, ever ignored anybody. That requires too much time and attention, two things I don't ever want to spend on someone I don't quite like.

I just looked in here for the hell of it and am shocked to discover my own name. I am by no means racist. If someone could please point out which thread anyone would get such an idea from, I would truly appreciate it (and apologize if someone was offended).

Some threads like poligaf though... it's annoying to sift through the flames to find genuine answers.

I only have DeadGzuz on my ignore list, I think because he said "xtian" once, which supremely pissed me off. I don't feel like even sifting through stupid bullshit like that.

I can't believe someone banned Jarosh though, he's one of the best posters on GAF.

Forgot gaf even had the option, so no one...

I don't like being in internet debates/arguments, so I usually show enough self-control to ignore posts (or users) I don't agree with or annoy me and just post on forums for general discussion or information sharing.
 
I use the ignore list, and it's mostly populated with people I added as kneejerk reactions to random posts. It's kind of pointless, because I usually don't see posts by those people too often.

The rest is made up of people who probably should be banned, and I'm usually surprised that they're still around. I often see hidden posts by these people in threads, and whenever I click them to view them out of curiosity, I get that "oh yeaaaaah, that's why I ignored that person" feeling.
 
I've read the ignored posts of two people in the thread, on both their lists.

To be fair, my Ignore List has existed since around 2001 IIRC, or as soon as GAF's forum software implemented an ignore list. Lots of Dreamcast retards got tossed on there, and they've been replaced by the Xbox, Nintendo, Apple, and even some Sony fanboys. :P

I get more intolerant with age. >:(

Yeah, Gaming side usually. That's generally where I'm the most outspoken. I just hate how people are such tools sometimes, it's really pathetic.

i'm always intrigued by seeing whose lists I'm on.

obviously TToB, and I have no idea why. Like I wonder if it's just one post for some people and they just have an anneurism and pound their mouse button on the 'ignore' link as fast as possible. Maybe it's a string of events. I'd imagine I'm on a few lists too because I never outright rejected APF as being an idiot like everyone else that posts in a poliGaf thread. Almost got banned for it once, to be honest, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Outside of that, I figure that if someone has me on ignore they're probably a douchebag anyways and can't take a joke. :lol

I don't know. I've tried to ignore people and it never works. I feel like I'm caving in by letting them and their idiotic ramblings be ignored.


edit: I stand corrected. I have ONE person on my ignore list: am nintenho. wanker kept dropping PMs asking me to talk to mods for 'em and ignore was an easy way to correct that.

I'm serious about someone asking TTOB why I'm on his list BTW. I'm not a zealot of any party... politically I'm a moderate, gaming-wise I have a Wii, Xbox, and PS2 and plan on buying a 360 when I can... I have a tablet PC and an iMac desktop... I don't spout off on pro/anti religious tangents, I'm not racist... I'm genuinely puzzled.
