I'm 20 and can't grow what u have in the picture. u made me feel a bit sad, sir. :(

anyway, your (and my) facial hair is still developing. give it time.

What annoys me the most is that my older brother (2 years older) could grow a full, thick beard when he was 18. I will always be jealous of him haha.

I can grow somewhat a beard, but not a full beard. I can't grow a goate or whatever it is called.

I have kind of a mustache, but most of it is light hair, not much is black hair.

I have somewhat this guy on this random picture I found on Google. (paint rocks!)

On me:

Blue color means both light and black hair, 80% light.
Red color mens only light hair.
Yellow color mens nothing.

This is on both sides, but I still got more chin beard on the other side of this guys chin than on the chin side the picture is showing.

Will I eventually get black hair where I have light hair now?

PS: BeardGAF rocks!

Who knows... many men dont get full beards.

I've heard getting razor cuts and using salt as a shaving cream makes your hair grow thicker, so give it a try.

I'm 18 too and I just can't even grow a proper moustache, but I'm not worried about it. Just worry when you look like Michael Cera.

I'm 31 and cannot come close to growing a full beard. What makes it worse is that my little brother who is 27 can grow a full lumberjack. Sad Face.

I went from 18 to this 25 (reverse in the pic, obv):

I never really thought it would happen. People regularly complement on my beard growing abilities.

I had a full beard when I was 16.

But no, start worrying once you're like... 25. But why would not having a beard be a problem? It saves you a ton of annoyance. I have to shave every day and it is nothing but annoying. I would call you blessed, even.

That looks fine, it'll thicken up over time.

Think of it this way, you're 90% of the way there, so the growth rate has slowed down but will still progress.

I'd be more bummed out if I couldn't grow decent sideburns, which I can. I know dudes who have absolutely nothing there.

I used to have sideburns but when I last got my haircut I foolishly said yes when the barber asked if I wanted them cut. My biggest mistake of 2013 thus far.

"The beard, being a half-mask, should be forbidden by the police. It is, moreover, as a sexual symbol in the middle of the face, obscene: that is why it pleases women.” (Arthur Schopenhauer)

I'm 33, and have never had a full beard. Nothing grows on my cheeks, besides one or two stray hairs that are so fine that you can't even see it. I basically have a balbo beard (just think Robert Downey Jr/Tony Stark's beard in the Iron Man movies), but the hair on my chin doesn't go that wide at all; it just covers the bottom of my chin.

All I have to do is trim every now and then when it gets too unruly and I'm good to go. Most friends who grow full beards say I should be glad I don't have to go through all of the maintenance.

Better watch, Your friends will start calling you patch or something if they notice!

26 and I have the same problem (well, the red parts of your photo don't connect in mine, but I have down my mouth)
Yep you are fucked, no beard for you.
I try always have very light beard, is the best possible result with what I have.

I'm nearly 26 and I can't grow a full beard. Or even any beard that doesn't look totally awful.

One of my few complaints with being blonde.

there is no reason to not let a beard grow only because not every usual spot is covered by it. many have pulled this off.

Nope.

Some people just have hair that grows faster than others. I can pretty much get a beard from a clean shave every 4 months. That's ridiculously fasts compared to most people I know.

Wish I had this kind of "bad beard" :D I'm 31 and I already accepted I will never even be able to grow a decent stubble, let alone a beard.

Nature recompensated me with great hairline for this though.

Same here. The beard performance on the 'stache and cheek has always been lackluster. Hence, chinstrap. But not one of those tiny pencil line chinstraps like you'd see on google images. More natural.

Most people can't grow a decent beard. I'm 27 and it's a bit patchy, some friends of mine don't even have it all, or have it only in a few spots etc...

I'm 23 and blond. My facial hair makes me look like a cat, anything architectural is completely out of the question.

I'm 39 and I can't grow a full beard. Which sucks because no I'm going grey and I have these grey chin whiskers.

I have a male cousin who never grew facial or underarm hair.
