I'm not going to dwell on it because it's not meant to be discussed here for now.
When it comes to the Police in the USA I can see why people feel like that, so much twisting of language goes on to pretend nothing is wrong.
It's unworkable because people can pretend to be anything online, I'm not handing in my passport to prove who I am.

Had someone lose their shit and attack my Junior status for badmouthing Skyward Sword shortly before all this happened. Wonder how this person feels now, if they're even still around. lol

It's more likely that one remains, if anything. A culture of consent isn't important to develop and progress, learning and growing is for cry-babies, being sensitive to the experiences of women, especially to sexual misconduct/assault/rape isn't necessary. This was a messaging and moderation nightmare. The community wasn't perfect, but the way this was handled made it very unlikely any decent, empathetic thinkers will stay. So what's left are people who are apathetic or agree that it's morally acceptable to support someone who conducts themselves and their site in this way.
It's better to be center right/left than full on right or left.
I didn't post on the forum because it was very far left leaning. Certain people backseat modded and were ban baiting with political bullshit, even in gaming. They would only get slaps on the wrist when similar behaviour from opposite side would get perma banned.
As outsider, I quickly decided not to post at all so I wouldn't accidently offend some protected posters when no offense was meant from me.
As a poster from Russia I think my centrist views might not be tolerated, I saw multiple people dog piled and called Russian trolls/shills if they didn't go full blown "fuck Putin, fuck my country, etc".

Pretty much anyone that acknowledged that post at Reset Era called it out, but here everyone wants to pretend that it is somehow indicative of the board itself. These are petty days at GAF...

Otherwise, if they want to talk about him and what is going on there are other threads with that right now.

That thread absolutely should have been locked way before that. At that point it was about 10% actual discussion, 30% shitting on Evilore, and 60% invite begging for the new site.
Though his parting shot plus his other posts today don't exactly make him any more of a sympathetic figure in this.
Ah okay, glad that's the case then. All I'd heard was about the fact that Junior status was still fully a thing. The part about 'hiding' it from the community is a positive step I hadn't heard about. Though if somebody wanted to be a prick they could always just click and see the post count. Right now everybody has a low post count, but down the road that won't be the case.
I'm not sure there's anything that is defensible about Putin or Russia, based just on the past year, but that's just me.

I explained why I thought that in his what he should do next thread, possibly a person that just always likes control. I never say I agree with what he is doing. In fact, he sort of pissed me off that he is doing what he is doing more than anything when he could roll up his sleeves and do things to make it work.
I don't know him that well to know if he only cares himself and only does what he wants only with a power glove. But maybe?
How long does it take to open OT? Why? It's all silly but maybe he will look "good" if things go booming again, either way. I still don't agree with his statement, closing of things etc

It's a great thing, attacking someone because they had Junior under their name was really stupid. I also like how mods aren't as visible as here (no red name, just a small "Mod" tag), they don't feel that threatening that way. I think the forum is off to a great start, I like the mentality of the admin/mod team, but we'll see if it lasts. EviLore's attitude in the past few days really hasn't helped convincing me that this is a better place. Does he even care anymore?
