I'm having a PS3 party...are you coming?

I´m getting one in 2007 most likely. Hopefully there´s a price drop by then, I´ll get HS and we´ll see what else is there available by then, I´ll be damn sure to get one before MGS4 hits though.
 
Yes, $300 is still waaaaay too much for video games IMO. I could care less about High Def.
I am still excited to see what PS3 is goingt o do though. I am really looking foward to seeing what team ICO can do with the hardware!

I'll be getting one on day one.

The price is easier to take since I skipped the PS2 and will have that library available to me as well as the launch games. :)

That's okay, i'll be playing the budgeted special editions of games while waiting for the PS4 to drop in price by then.
 
As of now, all my interest for PS3 lies with TGS06. This is really when the next gen begins for Japan.

If they haven't learned shaders by now, all hope is lost :(

I'm very intrested in getting a PS3 as it's the most likey system for future .hack games among other series that I'm very intrested in. The problem is that while I could afford the launch price I simply don't want too. $700+ Canadian for the premiume version before even buying a game? Forget it.

By the time their are actually enough games I want out for it which will probally take at least a year or two hopefully it will have gone down in price by then making it a more attractive perchase for my poor poor wallet.

How so? Do you use the same discretion with other consumer electronics? A game console, let alone a PS3, can do a lot more than other products which cost more.

However, back in topic: maybe I'll get one in late 2007. The only exclusive games I'm interested in are Heavenly Sword and MGS4, and they won't be there at launch. Maybe holiday 2007, hoping in a good price drop.
 
i will be there day one. . still debating on whatever the 500$ or 600$ machine. but for sure i will get warhawk with it plus another controller and another game [ still not deciding ]

The extra 100 dollars will be well worth it, PS3 gamers are classy don't cheapen out on us.

its really not the matter of 100$. maybe it has a lil effect. but the problem is i dont have HDTV and i am not planing to get one anytime soon as i have TV in every room in my home even in the bathroom. [ i am not kidding ]

so the HDMI port means nothing to me.

now wifi is good. i have wireless DSL at my home. but i connect my laptops and my consoles through wire. so again, that means not much to me.

now the 60Gig is intresting. but its too much for 100$.

but if i combine the HDD. some use of wifi. i guess i can swallow the 100$ as " future broof"

there is 90% chance i am buying the 600$ console. but the logic in the back of my head telling me to cool it down on spending money lol

I have a LCDTV, but no HDMI on it. :( Things still look pretty nice, but I'm buying the $600 model in anticipation of getting a better TV down the line at some point. There's a nice little Samsung on sale at BB right now, but I need to save my money at this point.
 
There's like zero chance that i'll be buying this at launch (i'm studying and i don't work, i'm poor, you see) guess i'll have to wait. But i'm definitely getting this whenever i think it's the right moment [that is, whenver i have the 600€ of the non-tard pack...]. Luckily they'll have solved all launch hardware issues by the time i get it [at this rate by 2011 or something]. But yeah, count me in.
