im looking for a game with good story ?

Not too much in the last decade. I would say

The Witcher 3
Assassins Creed Odyssey
Fallout New Vegas
What Remains of Edith Finch
Life is Strange
Gone Home
Disco Elysium

Crosscode.

Don't let the fact its pixel style fool you, this thing is an underrated gem. Everything is well above par and there's plenty of solid story moments you would not expect from a game of this type. It's massive too with plenty of content especially with the DLC attached.

Outside of that plenty of people have suggested the Yakuza series and I will agree with that, but don't discount the spin off's Judgement and Lost Judgement either, both have fantastic storys.

Oh also... Final Fantasy 7 Remake... I mean I assume most people have played it at this point but on the off chance you haven't, well worth the ride even if you played the original...

SOMA is the best story that was ever told in the entire video game medium, leagues above 99% of the production and it will shred you apart.

So yeah, if you have not played it, SOMA.
A really underestimated gem!

The execution of the story from start to finish will leave you shattered with all kinds of emotions and lets me think of it a least once a week although i finished the game years ago.

This is a real mindfuck that goes deeply under the skin!

you cant go wrong with the original last of us, but not 100 hours
Fall Out New Vegas
The Last of Us Remastered
Jedi Knight 2
Max Payne 1 or 3.

He said nothing about not owning a Wii(U) or New 3DS. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Wouldn't you recommend part 1 first though? I think without part 1 a lot of the impacts of part 2 would be lessened.
or wii ;)

good point

Witcher 3 if you never played it. Many clasic RPGs like Baldur's Gate, Planetscape: Torment, Fallout 1&2, KotoR, Geneforge, Deus Ex.

In no particular order:

Final Fantasy (7, 8, 9, 10 - 7 seems to have a few mods being supported right now..)

Chrono Cross (probably in emulator/with mods) and Chrono Trigger

Fallout 1, 2 (There are quality of life mods here as well)

Legacy of Kain Series (I've only played the Soul Reaver entries)

All full release GTA games

I recently played Mass Effect 1 LE and you can bust through that amazing tale easily in under 15 by just doing the main story. And its very, very easy game even on insane, its totally out of whack.

Elden Ring , Will take more than 100 hours and the story is the one you Guess with the information provided with all items and npc , it's like a puzzle with missing pieces.

If You want a more direct story told by NPC a lit of examples have been mentionated , I would add :

Days Gone , simple basic story but fun

Valhalla ...but Will take more than 100 hours unlock all áreas

Cyberpunk 2077. It has no shortage of abysses to stare into while you slowly evolve from a human to a sentient machine.

I've been meaning to play this is long, I thought of the SOMA recommendations in this thread and downloaded it again last night.
