I'm throwing in the towel. Dogs are better than cats.

Agreed..

and i laughed at work, thanks a lot.

Man, I love Corgis. They look so adorable. I'd get one but I don't believe I can tolerate the shedding. :/

The shedding is indeed brutal. If I don't furminate every other day my house will get covered in hair.

If you ever do get one, try to make sure they don't dock the tail when they are born.

Nothing is better than a good dog.

I'm dying to get a Westie, or mix, I just don't think I have the time to get a puppy and give it the time it needs to settle in and train it. I wish I could just bring it to work. That would be amazing.

I had both growing up. 5 cats and 1 dog. I fucking hated that dog. It was a piece of shit shihtzu.

But later in life we got a rottweiler and she changed my opinion. She is an amazing dog. Goofy. Loveable. Loyal. Great dog.

Then my friend got a Samoyed. That dog is great too.

I've had a realization. Dogs are awesome. Just not small dogs. Small dogs suck.
Good job being a sane and rational person. You came to the correct conclusion.

If you have a heart attack and die alone in your house, either animal will eventually eat you to avoid starvation.

The difference is that a cat would hide your heart medication and get the oven preheated.

Now put a plate of dogshit in front of your cat and see if it'll eat it.

Then place a plate of catshit in front of your dog and see what happens. Then let said dog lick your face with its catshit tongue.yuuuuummy, yeah dog, put all that catshit all up in my face. so hawt. my loyal best friend. give me more of that ass on my face.

Your cat shits in a box, and then walks around in it and the climbs over every item in your house. Now that's some nasty shit.

No kidding. Just look at Newfoundlands. No cats come close to this level of adorableness.

ya, Newfies are awesome until they come running into the living room and give their head a shake and you've got dog drool dripping from the lamp shades and picture frames and up and down the walls... and then they're still awesome but you have a hell of a mess to clean up...

I love both; for me, my pets are all about the relationships I build with them, and I've had meaningful relationships with both dogs and cats... some people too, but they're harder to deal with generally...

I love dogs more than cats but over the past few years I've come across my friends' cats and they're seriously the chillest and most awesome cats ever.

Now I love both.

Small doggos are just as good as big doggos

erase the hate
Breeding for aesthetic characteristics is an abhorrent practice, IMO.

People who buy small dogs also typically are fucking awful at training, because the dog is small and you can just grab it instead of putting hundreds of hours into training.

Despite that, I agree that many (if not most) small dogs have it in them to be awesome. Just not as awesome as working dogs. :P

dem feels.
I have an 8-month-old akita puppy at home who is just as attached. Runs alongside my motorbike as I leave for work in the morning. Lays outside the bathtub as I shower. Cries when he sees me outside without him.

That pic.. not fair. Screw work, I wanna go home.😭

(And welcome, OP. Big, smart dogs are where it's at.)

I entirely agree. That said, my small dog is a mix of four other breeds, and my girlfriend and I have put in days of training since we got her six months ago. As in, full 24 hour periods. She listens amazingly well.

The Lhasa apso we have is great. It's adorable, nice, and sensitive.

We have cat as well. It's also adorable, nice, and sensitive. The cat will follow me to my room and chill when I get home every morning. He is almost always waiting for me at the foot of the stairs when he hears my voice calling out to the dog so she doesn't bark.

<3 Animals

I would love to get a pet of my own when I get my own place. As the cat technically is my Mom's and the Dog is my Grandpa's. Thinking a Dog or a Ferret.

Dogs might be gross but cats are aggressively indifferent to humans, they just don't give a shit.

My cat looks out the window in the evening and when she sees my car pull up, she jumps down and runs to the door to greet me. She's doing a pretty terrible job of being indifferent.

Small dogs can be great too. That said, yeah they can also be not so great. I'll never own a small dog. Medium sized like a pug is as small as I would go. Large dogs are just awesome.

I have no problems with cats. I have had a couple great ones. I just think dogs are better but that's just like my opinion man.

Same my cats are always waiting at the top of my staircase when they hear the garage door open. They have to greet me every day. I'll feed them immediately but they prefer to get some pets and cuddles in before they eat and nap again.

They know when bedtime is and always get in bed and are ready for more cuddles before sleep. They're the freaking sweetest cats I've ever known, nothing "indifferent" about them.

I don't like small dogs, only. Or medium/large dogs when they are too active. God, I don't want these fuckers jumping on me all the time or spitting on my face. Really don't like being drooled, I find that completely disgusting.

My dream is to find a dog with a cat personality or something similar. I don't mind taking then to walk too, as long as they don't keep trying to jump on me.

That being said, based only on appearances, I want a corgi, beagle, labrador or golden retriever.

Here's a flower. Ya did gud.

Heh, one of my current dogs does the crossed paws thing. He picked it up as learned behavior from one of our previous dogs that sadly died a few years ago, and she just did it on her own because she was classy as fuck.

We had a small dog who was the sweetest ever, a yorkie/shitzu that basically got the best of both. She loved people but was afraid of other creatures, including bunnies. She only licked a little bit (yorkies lick like crazy) and almost never barked. If she wanted something she would do this sneezing-like huff and kick her back legs. Very cute. We had to watch her around toddlers not because of anything she'd do, but because she accepted their baby love even when they would pull on her ears or something. She wouldn't even run away. The only time she misbehaved was if it was wet or covered in snow outside she wouldn't want to go out to relieve herself, but even that was understandable since she was so low to the ground it was probably rather unpleasant for her. We just kept watch to make sure she didn't sneak off into the hallway.
