Assuming your not then I know the feeling as my buddy came back from the Army just recently after being away for quite a bit. Aspects of him remain but I can tell he's become a different person. Are you sure your friend will return to this path with you or is your friend the path you walk?

Context is, I have a great friend that's back in the states. We used to go drinking and celebrate 50c wing nights. Afterward we'd walk and part ways at his stoop.
This was something we did for months last year, but his visa expired, and I went on to do other things.
But now he's back and we did the same things as before, but with a few more friends. We parted ways at his stoop and it feels like it did months ago.
It makes me think in context of my person. How far have I really come?
