I was expecting this to be like that Crusin' thread, but those aren't horrible car models, they could have done a lot worse. although that dude in the first screen looks like a blocky horse jockey :S

So sad.....

People make jokes about the Wii being 1.5 to 2x a Gamecube.....yet some of these games are almost N64 quality. Pathetic.

Is it bad that I was surprised that the shadow in the third picture actually accurately showed the state of the car? (Tire being blown off).

*takes his hat off to the Wii*

I don't know how its possible have a game looking like SMG off in the distance and this game, which could considered a horrible looking DS game.

Gotta love that fake motion blur (dev: just stretch the textures out on the sides of the screen, no one will notice the difference) :lol

Seriously :lol

This shovelware unfortunately will keep coming, but games like Metroid Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy will considerably raise the bar in peoples expectations. Not only that but WII is selling like crazy which means it will be taken much more seriously by development houses in the future.

You had it coming...

I don't understand why the Indy 500 people woud licence their name to this. I know that Indy racing is now a shadow of its former self, but it can't have sunk this low. This is somewhere between N64 and Dreamcast image quality.

looks roughly similar to grand prix legends pc game from 1998 and without playing it i can confidently say its lacks the sublime handling of gpl.

Indianapolis 500 was awesome back on the 486.

Seriously it had the best crashes ever, not even Burnout comes close to the chaos of a thousand triangles floating around the screen!

Why is that Wii games don't even look like high end GCN games? I mean, it is more powerful...

Well, for some reason (probably Nintendo's/WiiFit's fault) the Wii doesn't automatically program games for developers like the XBox360 does.

You'd think after working on similar hardware for 6+ years would lend itself to some better looking games.

Therein lies the problem. Most developers skipped the GC. Those that didn't (namely Capcom and Konami) are getting some pretty good stuff out of the system.
