Inexplicably terrible parts of great games

Knife Flight Challenges in GTAV, dear god why.

Most of the buildings are easy to knife fly through, but there are several that are agonizingly awful.

When you crash, and you will crash, you have to go through the whole process of calling a taxi, riding it back to your plane, flying it back to the challenge and attempting it again, it only adds to the frustration.

My only major fault with that game, and it really stands out.

You don't even have to do that though. And if you're going to mention optional things for 100% then the epsilon missions are the clear offender in GTA V.

The part in Destiny where you need to painstakingly arrange for 6 people to do the raid because they inexplicably decided not to offer matchmaking despite the fact a lot of us don't have a dozen friends that all play games most nights

The replicated side quest maps in Mass Effect.

The game's scope seems so massive....all these planets to explore....incredible environments.....but once you complete about your 5th side quest and realize that the layout of every building in every side quest is exactly the same....sigh.

Whilst I loved the expansive questing element of ME1 upon first playthrough, in hindsight I'm glad they streamlined things in ME2.

Pretty much every setpiece moment in Bayonetta 2. They're shallow, they overstay their welcome, they're way too frequent near the end of the game, and they stop you from enjoying the excellent combat mechanics.

The lava boat section in Super Mario Sunshine. I blame the awkward controls though.

The rest of the game is also pretty mediocre, but yeah, if you like SMS (I dont) the last level is the probably the worst thing out of it, and not only for the controls, is an anticlimatic piece of shit, worse final level in any mario game without a doubt.

Yeah I kinda agree with this.

Otherwise, this shit from DMC3:

Who thought this boss fight was a good idea? It lasts way too long as well, and on harder difficulties the second half is just a major pain in the ass.

Did they even test this to see if it was remotely worth it?

There's always was a few stars that seemed like they threw them in because they were running out of development time. It makes me appreciate the setup in the 2 new games better.
That mission made me stop playing the game for months. Worst star in the game.

Worst prt in the fucking game , made me put it down , sad to cause the part is the best part of the game come after that.

I really loved the Fade in DA:O and found the turret parts in Dead Space only boring, but not that hard, I took all the related trophies in a second . I really hate turret parts in nearly every game.

Also +1 for the Big Boner part. I hope it ended after the first part but nope, take these other stages!

+1 for every escort mission: either you create a good AI or you shove these parts up your ***, but escorting Eva in MGS3 wasn't that bad.

+1 for water levels, even those in TLOU were quite boring.

Dunno if it counts as a "level", but I never understood Blitzball in FFX. My first match was a pure concentrate of WTF and bore.

The final part of the first run of Nier was a real slog just because it's really long and you can't save. I started it before dinner and i finished it way too late in the night.
