So I have contacted a lawyer and she says she thinks there's a potential class-action lawsuit against the OP. Please let me know if you've been affected by the OP's horrible taste in movies and I will forward you the necessary info. Let's heal these wounds together, gaf.

Now I wanna watch it to see how bad it is lol.

It's not bad in an entertaining way. It's just boring as fuck. In the first act of the movie there are some interesting elements presented but as has already been said for the most part the movie is just no-name actors punching and yelling at each other for some reasons on the exact same "spaceship" you've seen on the SciFi Channel a thousand times over the past couple decades.

Rented it a while back. It wasn't bad, but it was pretty forgettable. If you like campy low-budget sci-fi that's a step above syfy originals, it's pretty good.

When this thread popped up I was like oh something to watch? Then I realised watching the trailer I have already seen it. completely forgettable movie, so boring I can't even tell you what it was about now or how it ended, just know that I watched it and remember thinking yeh ok whatever.

Why does it have such shit reviews then... ?

54% on RT and 5.4 on IDMB. Don't remember the last time I saw a film with under 6/10.
I mean, I do know horror films usually get lower rates, but that is pretty low even for a horror. That said, I am probably still gonna watch it though. Sounds like my kind of thing.

Look at Equilibrium's RT rating.

I shook my head so hard at your post. :(

Watched it. It bordered on decent a few times, had some nice visuals, couple of promising things it could've done. Then it ended up as a slightly longer episode of Outer Limits, slightly embarrassing a not just a little boring.

But... I didn't like Equilibrium....
I don't let ratings dictate the quality of the film by far, but they are a decent indicator in MOST cases. However, horror in general has more exceptions than other genres.

You didn't like Equilibrium? *flips table*

I'm out! :p

babadook
were still here
goodnight mommy

I feel like im missing one but horror gaf has been recommending a lot of shit lately.

I've added it to my watchlist. Might be worth pointing out that this is on US Netflix, as it's not available elsewhere by the looks of it.

Also, a completely different type of film, but I would recommend The Machine - on UK Netflix, it's about a genius scientist and his attempts to create an AI/android.

Saw it yesterday. SOO BORING. I couldn't wait for it to end. I kinda hated the story too.
Sucks, I was looking forward to some good sci-fi horror. This is not it, people.

You're a mindreader. The movie starts off with some promise and the slipstreaming concept is kinda cool. Then it bores the fuck out of you for the next hour and a half.

I actually quite enjoyed it for the most part, though I'd only ever recommend it with the "it's so bad it's good" line. That said, I could forgive the melodramatic overacting, the plot and setting being totally full of holes, and even the total absence of effective suspense; however, that fucking ending was just shockingly shitty.

Was a nice timekiller, although not that great a film.

The last fight scene did catch me off guard though- there's a bit of Hannibal-esque intimacy mixed into the scene that's helping to effectively convey the competitive bloodlust they're going for.

I had never heard of it so I checked Wikipedia

Digital release of film in US and Australia: May 8th, 2015
When the film was first pirated: Early May, 2015

Great job skipping the theatrical release morons, really protected everything against piracy *rolleyes*

I just checked, it's currently not available to watch on Australian Netflix.

I watched it on Youtube, it wasnt bad, it was better than the Banshee Chapter which was terrible.

The ending was unnecessarily over wrought. And I didn't really get parts of it but...

I've been trying to watch this for the past week but every time I start it, I can't keep my eyes open. I'm progressing incredibly slowly because of this but I'm honestly at the point where I put this on if I'm having trouble getting to sleep. This movie is like a sleeping pill in video form which is actually pretty cool.

In the future there is a form of space travel where matter is converted to energy teleported to a distant location. These soldiers teleport into a space station to rescue a guy and stop a dangerous payload from being returned to earth. The catch is there are space zombies on the station (well sort of).

Sounds pretty sweet
