Writers Jeff Lemire ("Extraordinary X-Men") and Charles Soule ("Death of X") will team-up for the series, which will see the X-Men and Inhumans wage war over the mists that kill mutants but create Inhumans. Leinil Yu ("Star Wars") will handle the art on this six-issue limited series, which launches this winter.

they know people are scared and just playing it up. luckily this is sounding fairly contained so that my comics can go without a shit event mucking it up

Because Avengers vs. X-Men turned out so well!

Marvel's gotta shit on the X-men and try to push TOTALLYNOTTHEXMEN(butthey'retheXmendoneslightlydifferently!) somehow, dude.

I called this sarcastically a month ago.

The X-Men are going to lose.

Marvel is going to kill them off and then totally reboot the universe so mutants never existed and then Fox will have to give them the rights back because that is how contracts work in the real world.

Is this something that should be a contained event though?

Release of the terrigen mist is one of the biggest shake ups in the Marvel staus quo of recent times and one that has the side effect of killing or endangering long standing members of the Marvel community.

Honestly this is what Civil War II should have been about not the boring adventures of future boy and captain boring

Beast created a virus that would genocide the Skrulls in a matter of hours. He can't cure/immunize mutants from this terrigen shit? Of course he can. I'm not worried.

You know for a family who are currently basically god, you would think the Fantastic Four would do something about the deadly gas that is apparently allowed to just float around the world all the time.

Like Reed could easily ask Molecule Man to make that go away

Wouldn't it be better to use the event to appeal to fans of the X-Men and show everyone how they are similar but also how they are different?

What benefit do they have of getting rid of the X-Men besides fulfilling fan conspiracy theories?

Marvel TV is co-producing and X-Men show with Fox, but "MARVEL WANTS TO KILL THE X-MEN!!!!"

they have like... a gene or some shit that came from aliens experimenting on humans and when the Terrigen Mists came it activated the gene and their inhuman mutation was awakened

theyre literally the same as mutants except for like that detail

yes

They're also different in the sense that they have/had a choice in unlocking their powers though. Mutants get their abilities no matter what.

So you're the reason why the X-Men are dying?

No, you can blame Black Bolt for that.

They're finally going to resolve the conflict that's been going on for like two years straight. But either way, I do believe that both the X-Men & the Inhumans will continue to get comics after this. Both sides will walk away from this, but my main question is who will walk away with the least amount of damage.

That TV deal was made over a year ago, they only swapped out Hellfire for another show. The X-Men still haven't been featured in a game made after Contest of Champions for over a year now, all Fox characters were phased out of the cartoons after early in Ultimate Spider-Man's 3rd season, & their presence in non-Deadpool merchandise is non-existent (Hasbro aside). While there isn't anything wrong in the comics, there's a genuine concern everywhere else.

The concern is nonsense. They don't put full effort behind external projects they have to share returns on and they don't have to help their competitors (Fox) either. It's business. They don't share comic revenues with anyone involving X-Men, but they know the internet makes a bigger deal of it than it really is, so they play it up for marketing purposes.

X-Men are humans born with the X-gene and Inhumans are descendants from humans who were experimented on by the Kree...
What if the X-gene was retconned to be implanted in humans from alien experimentation and the terrigen mists are the key to all mutation, they just have a positive effect on Inhumans and a negative effect on X-Men in too large an exposure or something like that.

People would love that.

Marvel desperately trying to make the Inhumans big is the most forced shit ever.

Black Bolt is a baller but the rest are just painfully lame.

As long as it's not based on the Fox movie incarnations of the characters, Fox won't see a dime from any X-Men/F4 games or merchandise.
