Of course it's just conjecture, but then again, so is suggesting he's playable based on his two costumes. Outside of this appearance, there has been no amount of promotion or teasing to even suggest Damian's involvement whatsoever. The solicitations give a legitimate reason grounded within the story for his change of costume. No one knows how or why the Joker

is still around, or even if he is involved in the story, 'post-death'.

My point is we have yet to see a character with two costumes that hasn't been playable. That means if Damian isn't playable then it will be a first since he clearly has two different costumes designed for him. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Right now I think this is some supporting evidence though. I mean, in terms of promotion being a prominent character in the comic is a fairly large promotion.

Yes and Nightwing is a playable character. We know from the story trailers that default costumes are worn before the Regime/Insurgency while alternate costumes are worn after the Regime/Insurgency have been established. It makes sense that the same is looking to be true in the comics. If anything it is only more support.

Yeah, it's all good. I really think Robin is going to be playable. Couldn't be happier about it either. I mean it's another "Batman character" but I think he could have a really awesome play-style. Plus if they actually make him small (height wise) he can be very very unique on this roster.

However, the neatest thing I saw in the demo was, believe it or not, the game’s stage-select screen. I asked how stage selection would be handled in tournaments since stage hazards will vary so much, and the answer was simple. Both characters get to choose the stage at the same time! If they both agree to a stage then that is the one that will be played on, but if they disagree, the game will choose between the two stages selected at random. Simple, ingenious, and guaranteed to make tournaments run smoothly.

Also, if this is the "Big reveal" it's kinda...not big. Everything in those articles/interviews today is stuff we already knew about except some of Black Adam's moves. It'd be nice to at least have a trailer/video of some of this stuff instead of just the same words we have had for weeks now. Not that I'm complaining about a lack of news. We have had a lot these last few weeks. Just seems weird to hype up a "big announcement" when it really isn't. PAX East is this weekend though so there should be some more stuff there.

Yeah I completely agree. That is why I still think he has to be there as a playable character. I am betting they he's going to end up being a late-story unlockable which is why they are being coy about him. But like you said, I would take him playable in any form.

At least 15 stages with each stage having 2 or 3 arenas and at least 24 characters. There may be more than both of those numbers though, we aren't certain yet.

Check out Black Adam's character trait.

Adam’s trait button (described at the demo as the “superhero power” button) summons three orbs of electricity that rotate around him, similar to Vergil’s spiral swords in UMvC3 but with a couple key differences. First of all, while they do damage to the opponent on contact, they do not put the opponent into hit-stun. More importantly, they nullify opponent’s attacks and projectiles, making it an amazing tool for getting in on other zoners, especially when used with his aforementioned traps.

Plus he has small traps he can use to mess with oki and a nearly vertical are stomp that has a hit box that goes behind it for crossups. Interesting dude. I'll be digging into this guy.
