INSIDE is coming to PS4 on August 23rd

'Tis a bit pricey. For £16 I won't bite, but I'll definitely get it at some point this year. I might have been more willing if I thought that Limbo was as good as the critics said, but I have to err on the side of caution with this one.

The game is much much better than limbo - it doesn't falter in its second half, quite the opposite rather. One of the most powerful games of the generation honestly and I think the devs deserve sales, but to each his/her own.

Finished the game today. Quite a bit shorter than I expected and perhaps a tad too overpriced for what it delivers, but other than that, it was an excellent game. The end parts were AWESOME (major spoilers)
and I LOVED playing as that nasty blob, what a surprise, but the ending itself left me a bit cold.

Much, much better than Limbo in every way. I love that the game was varied enough with its tricks instead of relying too much on the same old thing.

Played it through yesterday and was blown away. The ending gave me chills.

I couldn't get into Limbo at all but this was very memorable.

Loved this game, it's a bit short, the price is a little steep and the ending may disappoint some people, but it's very entertaining. It was the first game I finished twice in less than a month in, I don't know, a decade?

Buy it people.

Holy shit what a fantastic game! So glad I went in totally blind. Can't remember the last time I was this mindblown throughout a game. Not only are there massive story surprises but the game mechanics and physics manage to surprise as well. Superb!

Just finished it
(secret ending included)
, and yeah, it was pretty good, definitely comes off as recommended. It's very short and it's fairly hard to describe, but if you're in the market for something dark and disturbing, you won't be disappointed.

Overall, it's a much better game than Limbo, which I didn't enjoy much as soon as the art style novelty wore off...

Seeing the game is made with Unity, I prefer being cautious. So what about the performance on PS4? (The game shouldn't push the console too much though)

I'm 1/3 into the game. It's like Limbo but more variety and color, not to mention no trophy for completing the game without dying, which is a good thing.

No issues for me. I didn't even know this was a Unity game!

Didn't expect this but I'll skip anyway. Puzzle games aren't my friend.

It's not much of a puzzle game. Yes, there are puzzles, but I personally had a much easier time solving them when compared to the puzzles in Limbo.

The puzzles are really cool, but not mind benders. Think like, mid-game Portal 2 level.

No issues with Unity. Not even Xbox One controller issues on PC; which are common with Unity games as far as I know. It's beautiful, but performance was never an issue for me.

I'm in. Limbo was incredible for an Android game especially on a super amoled screen and the sync'd save between my two devices. Flawless execution. This game looks even better.

There's a lamp hanging by a long wire you need to climb and swing only a little to reach the goal but if you keep swinging it smashes and the bulb pops and sparks. Just one of many nice little one-off details most developers would skip unless it happened more frequently.

How hard are the puzzles?
They're pretty straightforward. I don't think I ever really got stuck at one per say. I equate the puzzles to Portal 2 puzzles more than I do Limbo. But that's because the game does a much better job at communicating what it wants the player to do when you compare it to Limbo. There are also hardly any puzzles that rely precise timing as a mechanic and more of the puzzles rely on observation of the space around you.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the info.

I didn't finish Portal 2. I suck at puzzle games. But I'm going to give this a try.

I really liked Limbo, but this game, man, is on another level. Buy it, you won't regret it a bit, if u like to be surprised and astonished. Go blind in!

I too am incredibly happy I went into this game without knowing anything. Mind is completely blown by how good this game was. A rare title where not a single hair was out of place. I don't even know how many games I can say that about.

What makes it even greater is not just that it's technically perfect, but also that it's not content being safe. It's provocative and stirring. Shocking at times, even.
