Introducing the Gigantic 2.0 Beta

The game is definitely fun to play, its way more action-based than strategy based from what I've played, but its very rough :( from the client to parts of the UI it feels extremely 'early' for a game that was scheduled to release last year.

Also the whole W10 only really doesn't help, most of the people I'd play this with have no intention of moving from W7 anytime soon. Can't say I'm a fan of xb1 crossplay either, I think it might get quite boring going vs console users with a kb/m, I hope you can pick who you queue against or it might slow down the meta progression quite a bit :p

With overwatch coming out soon and even Paragon now in the mix I really think this game will struggle, its such a shame they signed with Microsoft for this one, these types of games can't be exclusive, especially to the console that's being outsold 2:1 :p It might sound silly but even requiring PC users to create a Microsoft account and then an Xbox live account just to play is going to be a big deal to quite a few people, and since their naming system doesn't allow for duplicate names like steam or battlenet thats just another obstacle unless you don't mind having a bunch of numbers after your go-to tag :p

I hope I'm wrong because I really enjoyed the alpha and parts of this new beta, the artstyle and the flow of combat is very solid, and I've loved every class I've played so far. Although why on earth are they locking classes behind a grindwall for the beta?! Surely they want as many people as they can get playing all of these classes till the breaking point? how are you going to balance meaningfully otherwise haha.

I thought the same thing at first but since the game is f2p their likely testing f2p elements of the game as well, who knows if the cost of heros and creatures stays the same when the game actually drops.

Yeah, with the state this Beta is in, I can't see this game being released this year. Everything, EVERYTHING, within it is incredibly rough.

One thing I don't like is how they have a very animation-driven movement, so they have very nice animations to watch, but the controls feel crap. Literally there are some characters that dance around, moving by themselves when you are holding the attack button, it's so confusing.

The whole premise of the gigantic guardians that power up and attack sometimes and sometimes they need to be defended is very confusing, even after playing a dozen of games.

Just got the invite for this. Weird timing considering the division. I'll try it sometime tonight. Don't see many people talking about this.

I looked at many videos and realized that. It was really disorienting for me as a viewer. I guess it is the same for the player. The animations and graphics are top notch but it seems to hinder playability.
