The best. Once you know where everything is you don't even need to look.

Also surprised no one mentioned Skyrim, I think they did a great job of managing such a vast inventory.

Pretty terrible inventory screen, also it had unlimited space.
I remember thinking "So this is what a next-gen menu looks like" when I saw it for the first time.![]()
So slick and the brief smooth animations of the characters beforehand is awesome as well.
Probably the best inventory of all time. Text filtering and custom sorting <3Sky UI
The default Skyrim inventory wastes a lot of space and is missing some important functionality.People just really dislike inventory systems based on text menus, I guess. I personally really like it, except for the lack of sorting options.

I think the sorting is usable with a controller. Also, the better usage of space should benefit you in all cases. Is there any point in installing it if you're playing the game using a controller? I'd really like some sorting options, but not if it breaks the usability with a controller.

I hope so, too.

It's still shit on a controller, unfortunately the ridiculous amount of wasted space doesn't magically disappear.I'm gonna guess you guys play/played the game using KB&M? If so, I get where you're coming from; Skyrim's inventory (actually, pretty much its entire UI) is clearly made with a controller in mind, with which it works really well (although it's missing some much needed features such as sorting options).

As promised earlier in the thread, this is why UO was the best. Every item can be dragged and dropped. Either have it in your bag, or drag and drop it to display it/wear it.
This is my house and my chests. The rest is upto you to organise. This is essentially a collection of crap I'd amassed. The good stuff (armour and weapons) were stored elsewhere.

Yeah, it's rather silly if you think about it.True.... but every time I used it, I couldn't help but picture Leon shouting "Stop! I must reorganize my briefcase!" to an onslought of Ganados. A briefcase that no one can see cause he's never holding it.
What would you suggest for a game with that many objects in the world that can become your inventory items? It's still shit on a controller, unfortunately the ridiculous amount of wasted space doesn't magically disappear.

The Ocarina of Time shuts this thread down.
Do i see some nipple in your avatar?

I really liked the Oblivion inventory screen. I wish they would have kept the book style for Skyrim, looks way better in my opinion.
