I still have an iPhone 4. It runs perfectly well, suits all of my needs, and I haven't seen any features in the newer phones that justify the cost. I'm a little surprised that Apple hasn't innovated more between iPhone 4 and 6.

They've run into the same issue as other smartphone manufacturers: Hardware maturity. The upgrades have slowed simply because the pace of innovation in the technology surrounding the device has slowed.

It won't be on the same day? Hopefully they have something by November because I'm definitely in the phablet market and that's when the Note's out.

I think we'd see more leaks of the 5.5 if so. I'm guessing the rumors of December/January are more likely.

It's a return to a shelled design vs the sandwich design used in the last 4 years (although the 5 and 5s are faux sandwich). I kinda agree that these were special. But look at the iPads or iPod touch. They are still kinda slick.

And in later generations they can go back to sandwich, benefiting from both extra slickness and nostalgia, while keeping everything fresh.

Looks slick. Also it is a bit rounded around the edges, which is a nice twist.

This is following the ID of the iPod Touch/iPad Air/iPad Mini. I really like that look, I think it will work well for the iPhone. One thing I know is that the iPod Touch's rounded edges feels so much nicer in the hand in comparison to an iPhone 4/5.

I think the flexibility shown here alone already reassures for a dramatic drop in iPhone shattered screens (from dramatic iPhone drops). Maybe not 100% the end of it, but close.

get a mobile router (mine runs both emobile LTE and softbank 4G) and use it with whatever you have now, then use it for home/laptop-in-cafe internet too once you have your iphone.

That's the concern because of the dual-tone.

The glass won't scratch but the Slate/Silver/Gold finish will DEFINITELY scratch. Same goes for the borders.
