I never bothered checking the first Iron Sky, but apparently it did well enough to merit a sequel, which apparently was crowsourced to some degree. Germany's national treasure Udo Kier is also somehow involved in this one, so I may have to watch them some day.

The filmmakers describe Iron Sky: The Coming Race as follows: 20 years ago Earth was ruined in a nuclear apocalypse. What's left of humanity is trapped on the Moon - which is now falling apart as well. Mankind's only hope is to send a small team into the Center of the Earth to retrieve the mythical Holy Grail. All that stands in their way is an ancient race of reptilian humanoids and an army of dinosaurs. How hard could it be?

Dalan Musson has penned the screenplay which sees Udo Kier, Julia Dietze, and Stephanie Paul, returning from the first film and they're set to be joined by comedian Tom Green. Academy and Emmy Award winning VFX group Pixomondo, who create the dragons for HBO's "Game of Thrones," will work on the dinosaurs for "The Coming Race."

I actually enjoyed the first one when I went into it expecting nothing. It's pretty funny and campy enough to make it a good watch with friends just to make fun of it. Will watch the sequel when it comes to Netflix.

Had a lot of teachers on my school who wanted me to look at the movie when my team made a game with somewhat the same theme, but I never got to it.

There's definitely a certain audience that will like this. It plays on an old conspiracy that the nazis were building a base on the moon, and just takes it to another level. I'd say, a Doctor Who fan will especially like it, or if you liked the movie Mars Attacks! from the 90's, you definitely like this.

Watch the Director's Cut on Netflix. I wouldn't call it a good movie by any means but after a couple drinks (or other mind altering substance of choice...) you start to get into it.
