Is 2015 the year of the PS4?

Just based on the amount of exclusive game releases...I think one could say 2015 is the year of PS4.

Can the fewer releases on XBO outweigh the more releases on PS4? I honestly dont think so. Quality vs quantity comes into play....but that would mean Sony has less quality games released, releasing this year. I dont see it.

If Sony has the same amount of quality titles that XBO has in 2015....the extra releases would give the edge to Sony.

What are those quality releases this year that you speak of?

I see bloodborn and then I'm at a lose. If there were anything else to peak my interest, I might have bought a PS4 already. I've had several chances to pick one up second-hand with multiple games included for below $300 and can't bring myself to pull the trigger when I consider that aspect. The console is clearly selling well enough without my tastes, so maybe I'm the weird one.

it's the year of fingerbutts

lol

It's turning out to be a pretty great year for everybody from what I can see.

Gamers win, whatever platform you game on.

Indeed.

So far off the top of me head Bloodborne and MLB The Show. The year is just starting......we will see at the end of the year what else is in store. And I havent even posted any PSN or F2P games.

It's not really a "Year of the (console name here)". It's for the love of video games, not for boasting console wars.

Each console has a good exclusive coming out this year to the market, let's be glad and celebrate those instead.

Seemingly everything I want on it isn't making this year probably (FFXV, Persona 5, Star Ocean 5, KH3, maybe Uncharted 4 if it gets really really really good reviews and I get suckered into buying another one of those games again). I'm just getting Tearaway and Ratchet and Clank probably
and importing Persona 5.

Though I already have a backlog on it with Type-0, TLoU, DOA5, and Evil Within so I guess I'm set.

There's nothing particularly impressive this year about PS4s lineup and although it is winning each month, its not absolutely dominating. So year the of the PS4? I think 2016 might be much better in terms of full-on exclusives and most likely sales.

Compared to the other consoles, I would say this year and last year was the year of the PS4. The WiiU has had some strong exclusives, but the PS4 has a few, and then way more multi-platform titles.

That said, so far this has been the year of the PC to me.

Outside Bloodborne, the PC has had every other notable title, along with Cities: Skylines, Pillars of Eternity, Elite Dangerous, Frozen Cortex, Grey Goo, Sunless Sea, Ori and the Blind Forest (only Microsoft consoles have it) and Hotline Miami 2 (only Sony consoles have it) in just the last few months. Then you have remasters of Homeworld 1-2 and Grim Fandango, expansions to Total War and Age of Wonders 3, and numerous already good early access entries like Darkest Dungeon, Invisible Inc., Hover: Revolt of Gamers, Offworld Trading Company, Distance, etc. exist. Even GTAV finally managed to come out, and is the definitive version.

All of the other major titles we know of getting released later this year, minus Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider (temporarily), Persona 5 and Splatoon, are coming to PC as well. Each platform has a good amount of fun stuff to choose from this year, but PC just has more quantity of good games than the others to me.
