Get an import system if you don't care about BC. If you have money, there's honestly no point in paying ebay prices when you can just get an import system.

Uh, on the first page of search results for "ps3," the average auction has a double digit figure of bids on it. People are buying... and those are only for preorders.

No console is worth paying 2500 for, I would prefer to wait for a restock of consoles and save $1900 if I was in america. OK you might just miss christmas but hell thats a ton of money if you wait 6 weeks.

Yep i think ebayers are probably overestimating the demand, if all the hardcore gamers are selling them, who's going to be buying them?

I've noticed playasia for the last couple of days has had stock of ps3's. I think we're gonna see a repeat of psp with regards to failed ebay auctions. We'll see.

I'd honestly feel like less of a human being if I didn't get one at launch, and I think you should too. At the same time, I will stick to my principles and refuse to support the degradation and shame heaped upon the employees of these retail leviathans by spending my hard-earned American dollars there.

Not getting a PS3 would be equivalent to being mushroom-slapped by Satan, if not slightly worse.

I'd expect prices to fall pretty hard by the time Christmas rolls around...unless Sony screws up more.

360 prices were down to like $700-800 after the first couple of weeks.

I wish we could send out mass emails to everyone planning to get a PS3 off ebay and tell them to wait just a week. With no one buying the first ebayed PS3s, the price would crash.
