Is Bayonetta 2's Tomorrow Is Mine the best battle theme ever?

It's probably not the most "hardcore" but it is easily one of the most graceful ones. In terms of doing what it wants to do, it is damn near perfect. It fully represents the action on screen in Bayonetta, the atmosphere it has going for it and the character in general. As much as games like Metal Gear Rising go above and beyond with music and merging encounters with it, many games mentioned, including MGR, doesn't really have a "character" theme which is what this song is more like. Tomorrow Is Mine is more comparable to The Time Has Come, Devils Never Cry and The Won-Stoppable 101. In those respects, I think it's definitely one of the absolute bests.

I don't know what it is about this song, but I love it. It feels like it shouldn't fit an action game, but at the same time it's just so perfect for Bayonetta.

I dunno about best battle theme ever though. It has some pretty stiff competition in Wiping All Out from Persona 3 Portable and even Fly Me to the Moon, along with some others I don't feel like mentioning.

Bayo 2 has an amazing soundtrack. I love the version of Moon River. Better than Fly Me To The Moon in Bayo 1 IMO.

This is the best.

This song is awesome. It fits Bayonetta so well imo and is just the right choice of song for the sequel to go with her new look and the color-infused visuals.

The first time I entered the Nintendo Bayo 2 website and heard this track, my mind went completely haywire. Those fucking tonal modulations in the first part seal the deal for me, such an amazing melody. This is the only non-orchestral song I've heard from this game thus far and already I like this soundtrack even more than Bayo 1 by virtue of this song alone. Though Rules of Nature is also up there :P

Nah. The Ballad of Lil Slugger is (Super Meat Boy). Closely followed by the first boss from Ikaruga.

That was pretty hot though.

Yeah it's not the first thing I think of but it's absolutely brilliant. The riffs starting from 0:38 are so, so good.

If we're talking about guitar-driven tracks, I really like Xenoblade's Mechanical Rhythmn. It's got some heaviness and speed to it, but not too much to feel out of place in the game. Rules of Nature has been mentioned a couple of times, that one is good too but I don't like the vocals on it. The singer's voice is too weak for the music.

SOUND IT

SOUND THE ALARM!

Anarchy Reigns's battle tracks are amazing.

BETTER WATCH OUT IF YOU'RE
MOR-TI-FIED

I never heard that track before, I really like it. Is that the normal battle music in the game? That'd be pretty awesome.

That title goes to It Has to Be This Way, but this is still great. I really need to get around to playing that demo.

This song fits the final boss fight so well. I sometime hum/sing along with it to help me concentrate haha.

The game has different battle music for different enemy types. This one plays when fighting "mechanical" enemies like mechs and robots (=mechanical rhythm).

Wow, I never knew Bayonetta had this kind of soundtrack. Now I want to play both of the games.
Bayonetta 2 + 1 is out in just two weeks! Now is probably the best time to get into the series since you can pick up both games for the price of one.

Not the best battle theme but damn if I wasn't grinning from ear to ear when I first heard the song as I played the demo. I was on a some what media blackout with the game so when I heard the song and pretty much every thing stayed in tune with the style of Bayonetta, I was damn happy. It's just perfect for her character.

As much as I love Bayonetta, these songs are just too poppy/bubbly/pink for my taste.
Still remember the horror when I played Bayo1 for the first time and that awful version of Fly Me To The Moon started playing.

I love Tomorrow is mine, what a great track. Oh, and because we are on the subject of lyrics and battle themes:

I hope Persona 5 gets a competent singer. Whoever sings for P3 and 4 is absolutely terrible.

There is zero nuance to pronunciation and accentuation in both Persona OSTs and the tracks sufferfor it.
