Is Eureka worth watching?

I recently remembered it was a thing after watching a random Hallmark Christmas movie with the US marshal guy in it.

Does it stand up still, or am I better off looking for a different show?

I'll let you know in a few months! I just bought the partner the box set for xmas, as neither of us knows anyone els who has watched it lol. So I am looking forward to the rewatch. it's a fun show.

I think so. I loved the first three seasons, and thought the last two were very good, but not as great as the first three. No regrets finishing the series. The season finale is damn good too.

it's nothing special

i liked it, but will probably never rewatch it

you can probably get a good idea if you'll enjoy it after a few episodes. it's not about some awesome plot that takes multiple seasons of setup

A Town Called Eureka was a great little Sci Fi show. Not going to rock your world, but it was charming, had some nice characters, and did interesting things.

Definitely worth a watch, much like Warehouse 13. It's the comfort food of Sci-Fi.

Still salty to this day about the cancellation of Warehouse 13.

I remember really liking the first few seasons. Great characters and fun, lighthearted scifi. The show kind of lost its steam in the later seasons but I still would recommend it.

Depends on your tastes I guess. It's pretty dumb and full of sci-fi clichés but the cast is decently entertaining. I think the worst parts of it was whenever they'd reference the real world instead of pretending they were their own little universe, since the technology they posses would radically reshape the world if existed (and was exclusively in American hands), not to mention they would presumably get proper scientific safety procedures in place thus eliminating 95% of the plots.

I started watching it after the "reboot" because of Warehouse 13 (or whatever they called it after they altered the timeline) and I think enjoyed it. I can't say I remember anything about it though.

Yes it is op. It's silly at times, but well worth your time. I wish it had continued a bit longer, because nothing like it has appeared since.

That show about the average guy being Sheriff in a town of geniuses? I liked it. Not the best show ever, but pretty solid nontheless.

It's a fun show! The first 3 seasons are a fun problem of the week type dealio. The last two seasons of this show become much serialized and really shine though!

I enjoyed the first few seasons. But the unrelenting campiness got old after awhile.

It also gets incredibly formulaic. The Christmas Special was a pretty good episode that went in a fun direction. Although one thing that always made me laugh was that you could always tell right away which non-character was gonna get killed off to kick-start the plot.

This is what has always deterred me from re-watching it. It's a good show, sometimes even a great one, but it's one that kind of thrives in a "one episode a week" kind of situation. Trying to watch it all back to back really highlights how repetitive it is. Sort of like Pysch in that regard.

It has a pretty drastic tonal change at some point where it goes from people constantly dying in accidents of mad science to people being restored to normal by the ends of every episode, and it's fairly low-budget (there's, like, only one set that they use for every lab they come up with). It also must hold the record for most number of times that time travel had reset/altered the timeline in a single show.

It's goofy and charming.

Fun show dragged down slightly by some poor decisions here or there. Also Felicia Day continues her track record of reducing my enjoyment of something due to her eventual presence.

Oh god, I forgot she was in the show doing her dumb nerd girl thing. lol
