To be honest, the entirety of the Forza Horizon character creator is slop.

They all have just off faces and weird facial expressions during cutscenes.

I treat it like Dark Souls, where the character will always look crap, but instead of covering it up with cool armor I'm doing it with cars.

Yes, it's not as important as in a RPG, obviously. Still, there's no good reason for characters to look THIS terrible, and we know why they look this bad, stop pretending we don't.

Does it make the whole game inherently bad? No, but it's clearly annoying and it's something that could definitely be better, I don't see why it should be defended. It's not because it's not a core part of the game, that it doesn't matter, if it really didn't matter, then don't give us avatars at all.
