Better late than never, i guess.

That doesn't make it okay!Regarding the 360, it's a great product. I've owned a Pro since launch, recently upgrading to an Elite, and have never had any problems with either system. Besides, (depending on where you live) chances are the retailer will offer a warranty, which should shield you from losing any money.
Don't be stupid. There is obviously a retarded problem with the system, and mayhaps time will bring a sensible end to it. After my first one died, I didn't deem the hassle worthy to deal with another one (my roommate did buy one and his lasted even less time!) so to be concerned about reducing hassle in life is hardly a bad thing.Aleman said:No, all the fun you could be having with the games is just not worth the intense fear you will have of the console breaking down and *gasp* having to do something besides play video games for a few weeks.

I do want one but can realistically wait until something meaningful is done here.

It's funny, because for a long while, the PS3 kiosks got mocked for having the real PS3 underneath the display and hidden.BCD2 said:What kind of genius designed that kiosk?
You lose 1-6 weeks of playtime. You have to repurchase all your downloadable content if you want to play them online. Your 'new' system now is a refurbed one from someone else.acm2000 said:of course its safe, you get 3 years warranty, who cares if it rrod's, you get it fixed, and hopefully with the new improvements to its design

So far the newer systems have lesser issues in the same amount of time. But if really want to play games such as Halo 3 or something around the corner then please get a HDMI premium or the newer elites. We don't have evidence that it lasts longer other then our own experience that the heat output of the machines are cooler and drives don't fucking scratch our disc finally.
But so far it looks promising.

It's still on. I'm downloading like 10gb of demos hahahaha
