Better and earlier :( does this mean non stop snow for 2-3 months again because my uggs can't handle that much snow.

Not only is it coming back, but this time it threatens the very existence of humanity. Will the Fantastic Four save Earth from being sucked into the vortex?

Whatever the Polar Vortex was doing the rest of the country, it made Seattle's winter warmer and drier than usual, so bring it on.

The only good thing to come from the Polar Vortex is the slow thawing of the Great Lakes creating a cooler summer (at least, here in Michigan).

Eh, the only real inconvenience it caused me was taking down a tree over my driveway. For me, there actually wasn't that much snow. It was just so cold that what did pile up took forever to melt away.

Nooooo, Pittsburgh doesn't know how to handle snow so it just sits there on the roads. I wouldn't mind it if I was back in Chicago

Depends on where you live in Pitt I guess. Our roads were always clear for the most part unless it was like, -30 in which case welp *shrug*

Last year's frequent cycling between snowfall and thawing did a number on the roads here in Maryland. Really hoping it doesn't happen again. I fucking hate winter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I take it this Polar Vortex is connected to the early stages of long-term Climate Change? Someone science me.

Last year it wasn't even the snow in Pitt. It was the cold

Fucking University of Pittsburgh refused to cancel anything too. Bunch of frozen solid college students having to be removed from the streets daily because the campus is like 40 miles long and they had to walk the entire length in -30 degree weather.

There's some hyperbole in the above post.

Supposedly climate change is equated to more energy in the atmosphere, making weather more volatile. Not just temperatures but also severe weather patterns like hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards etc.
Thats how it was explained to me anyways, because I thought climate change was just global warming due to increased carbon monoxide. Apparently the energy can take the climate extremes both ways

Polar vortex 2014... we got this and nothing more.

Forunately, I can work from home on those days. So I would just point and laugh at people that had to go out.

Not really

Instead of actually combating global climate change and solving weather pattern disruptions can we build some sort of giant robot to punch the polar vortex instead? Maybe pour some money in to a secret military program that will result in an anti-polar vortex missile?
